Wtf is wrong with platinum rank

Ever since I went from gold to platinum my teammates have become so much worse.
Everyone is constantly ball chasing, rarely do I get a teammate that rotates and when I do we usually win because the enemy team isn't

The match is either a complete beating from the enemy team or a complete ass kicking from us.

The skill gap is immense, I am being paired with players who cannot hit arials whilst also being up against people who can hit wall to air dribbles.

I have a feeling it platinum is the rank where boosted players cannot go any higher and some skilled players are stuck in elo hell and it creates one of the worst ranks I have ever been in.

Platinum players are also extremely toxic if you make a mistake but are reluctant to admit their own.

Yep, 2 teammates chasing the ball up the side and don't rotate back when you go for the shot, leaving an open net. Or ramming into you trying to hit the same ball that you have control over.
Being paired with boosted players is very annoying.
People say, don't blame your teammates but what are you supposed to do when you're paired with boosted players and the other team are flying around like Superman.

plat rank is widely known as the joke rank, all sterotypes against it is true

they cant arieal
they cant rotate
they cant score
they ram inti other people
they think watching youtubers help them

Plat rank is the no defense, 0 iq plays, ballchasing meta rank. People in gold 1 are better than plats its just sad.

Don't worry, gold rank is like this too, i contantly have a WinWInLoseLose situation, one game i have tryhards who airdribble perfectly every time and the game later i have dudes who ball chase everytime or cant hit any ball at all

yeah, honestly instead of adding a rank on top where all of the pros can go there should've been a rank added in between plat and dia, im plat 3 in 2 modes and im getting the exact same thing whenever i play 3s and 2s, it's not the best, but the middle is just a place full of trash and occasional diamonds

You can also thank the fact so many parties often play paired up as 2's, and even bringing silvers and golds. You see this even in high champ... So as far as chasing, rotation, passing is concerned, just imagine hell while on every drug

Iv'e had many hours in Plat and i can tell you it has nothing to do with boosted players. These players that you call boosted are just players that spend more time on mechanics than game sense. The players you see flying around like Superman obviously spend a lot of time practicing those skills. Most of us watch RLCS and want to be like the pros. We watch highlights of great goals not highlights of proper rotation. Therefor, most of us will make scoring a priority over rotation. We will continue doing this until our game sense becomes better. There is very little game sense at the Plat rank. OP just has to keep practicing and adjust to his or her teammates and will eventually push through the Plat rank.

Well clearly you havent played for very long because boosted players dont go around flying like superman. Boosted players are players that pair up with someone higher in rank and play in comp.... I've seen silvers and golds in diamond and champ ranks... They were being boosted, and they were useless because they had no hope of even being able to do a single thing during those games. Hence his complaints about lack of basic everything

Exactly. They end up being of no use. Why a person would want to be boosted is beyond me because when the teammate that boosted them leaves they will just lose every game. The rank gap between teammates needs to narrower.

Same goes with casual, I'm barely Plat and get paired with champ and versing champs. It's not fair that they should have me on their team as I'm a much lower rank.

Either they need to re-evaluate their ranking system or have more ranks where people are grouped better.

I really want to hope it'll get better, but at this point I dont think so. Too many sensitive low iq players seem to think there isnt an issue with boosting and smurfs. They just say you have the rank you earn, completely missing the point that their rank means nothing when so many have that same rank without having anywhere close to the same lv of skill or experience in the game.

This is why focusing on chat bans wasnt nearly the best decision some think is was. At this point you cant even say anything to someone or give any criticism in the slightest, even if you're polite without someone thinking you're toxic or bullying them. Plenty here in the forums have expressed the sentiment that even just one quick chat in response to something is toxic....these ppl are against criticism at all. No criticism simply leads to less emphasis on actual skill and improvement. Which is why these same people always lean on the same argument of "find someone to play with"

As for toxicity, I think you might be referring to the thread where a guy got upset cos he said "what a save" to his teammate and his teammate refused to play the game.
IMO that's not criticism, that's just being a ***. I dunno, i just prefer to say "no problem", cos at the end of the day if the player tried to make the save then why be a *** about it.
I wouldn't consider it bullying tho. I can only imagine what ppl say having full text chat on lol.

Yeah but it doesnt matter, words on a screen isnt doing a damn thing to you or anyone else. People used to flame others left and right in RL and people progressed just fine. The only ones who would get upset are the same ones we see getting upset at a single quick chat. Unless you're being flat out insulted with actual words being typed in, it doesnt matter and has no impact or meaning on anyones life.


You'd get laughed at by pretty much everyone if 1 quick chat made you upset in early RL, now most call that bulling. Seems to me like both player mentality is just another problem thats gotten worse ever since they made those changes. Its only gotten worse as a whole but with so many new players people for some reason think things are just great and mOrE pOpUlAr ThAn EvEr

I just encountered the same two players twice in a row and they played like mid-diamonds minimum, but were plat 3s......the system needs fixing....the devs need to get off their behinds and fix it like they SHOULD BE DOING.
