Should i change from kbm to controller?
Like ik rocket league is supposed to be played in controller or majority of the players are controller. I have abt like 1300 hours and reached champ with kbm. but im thinking of switching to controller but idk should i?

There's literally no reason to switch.

nah. I am of the opinion that if you learn how to play rocket league from mouse and keyboard then you will become much stronger than controller players. a change of input would just mean starting over and having to relearn everything you have learned so far .... 1300 hours are just right to be champ

Look, I'm a KBM player as well. Around 1700 hours, I did try controller at 1300-1200, why not? You can try moving to controller if you really want, but I wouldn't suggest it since it's too late. But you can try, might work for you and be worth it. (I'm a KBM player, tried controller many times, but couldn't make it.)

Hmm, would using D Pad be the same as kbm basically?

Why? controllers just have slower inputs than keyboard. Especially if you have a high quality keyboard.

This is false. Most mice and keyboards only go to 1000hz polling rate max. Most controllers can hit this as well and PS5 can go way past this. PS5 has the lowest input lag of all the controllers with polling rate overclock. Xbox controllers are the only controllers that barely get any benefit from polling overclock.

If you want want the lowest possible. Use a PS/2 keyboard/mouse. PS/2 can get like 1/10th of the latency that USB has.

Its WELL known, controller has MORE control/fluency and feel, over KBM.

Is it possible to still freestyle and all the other bs with KB/M, yes, just takes ALOT longer and harder practice.

Who cares either way, game is so old, literally everyone has "been there, done that, seen it", now its just a fad.

Let it die out

How is it harder on keyboard? It is a matter of preference.
Simple as that.

There's one benefit of controller - variable acceleration.

The rest is meaningless, including anything anyone says about input latency.

Variable acceleration can be achieved by rapid taps.

Thanks for yall attention ill just stick to kbm cause tried using controller and doesnt work out ty again
Def yes!!!!

You will struggle for about a week and it will be frustrating. I switched when i had about 300 hours but its just another world especially if u want to do freestyles.

It just gives u so much more control in the air, Im actually certain none of the people here who commented in favor of KB are above average in the air

evample is a keyboard user fyi

That's because bad game design, as mouse does nothing for the controls.
I play with the mouse buttons in the keyboard and it's the same
