There is no best and there is no worst,
go to your buddies house and try out both of them for yourself. Don't listen to a single person on here they're all biased. Find out for yourself, otherwise you'll never truly know.

A keyboard
I only say that because of durability as keyboards last longer, I've used the same one for multiple years, while out here I hear people getting a controller every 6 months cuz they seem to be disconnecting or breaking constantly

Game wise, controller isnt better than mouse & keyboard
Mouse & keyboard is not better than controller they are all the same
Getting this one controller that youtuber promoted for a sponsorship isnt gonna make you any better at the game.
It's just best to go for low response time durable tech thats it

had I known back in 2015 that controllers would end up giving me more headache, I would have opted for keyboard.

ds4 seems to be the best. tried out switch pro, xbox one and series controllers but ps4 with ds4 is so much better.

I’m KBM but I have seen many using the Ps4/5 controller, which would be the best IMO.

Steam already has a full support for PS and Xbox controllers plus generic controllers as well

Also almost every released console game that also is for pc only supports xbox controllers and no ps4 controller support. Hmm, not sure. It works fine for me, I also have Dualshock 4. The part you said about that every console game ported to PC supports Xbox controllers is true, you always have Xbox visual showcase of buttons and they aren't in the same location as PS controller but honestly shouldn't make you a problem, you get used to it.

Of course it is. You have way better control, and that goes for any vehicle related game, rl included.

I am using custom binding, and I know, that Steam have support for this, but I am using touchpad on gamepad as a mouse and PS button for openning custom app :) . And of course, I am using this gamepad wireless. For this I need DS4Windows app.

You can remap the controller in Steam as well, it is in controller configuration window. Use whichever you prefer, just letting you know.

I prefer Xone controller because of the size. I have big hands and they feel better than a PS one

Think it's more whichever console you're familiar with. I, myself, am about PS, but the PS4 DS controllers are crap quality. Went thru 4 in less than a year. Using a PS5, atm, and it's holding up. If you're an XBox user, might should lean that way. RockCandy makes a very durable and inexpensive controller that works with the PC. I used the same one for YEARS playing other games before getting into RL.

DS4 or DS5 for me. I had been DS3 until I needed a replacement, and I *wanted* to use an XBox controller to avoid compatibility issues, and bought one, but I just felt terrible in my hands. I returned it and tried a DS4 and *a choir of angels sang*---best-feeling controller I've ever held. I ended up breaking one and got a DS5 recently and that's great too, but I think DS4 wins by a tiny bit for shape.
