High skilled players ruining casual play
Anyone noticed the excessive amount of extremely high skilled players ruining casual play, just for the purpose to avoid playing a challenging match? This situation comes from non Skill Based Match Making(SBMM). This behavior will slowly and surely push casual and inexperienced players away from the game, inevitably leaving only high skilled players. Until this is addressed/fixed Rocket League is dead to me. I really enjoy the game but high level players in casuals will be the demise of Rocket League as a fun game for players of all skill levels. RIP RL, it was fun while it lasted.

Fr me, I found the fix for this --and getting dropped into the tail end of an already lost game-- is to play competitive. I suck pretty much so I've gotten ranked with other ♥♥♥♥♥♥ players. Mostly skills are similar and I don't get dropped into other peoples messes, I get to make my own from beginning to end.

Wait, you mean competitive is more accurate at matching you with people of your skill level? Who would have thought?

these guys be complaining when they have 4 levels of bots mode, still can't beat any of them, then say "high skilled players" ruin casual. Yes I know those all star bots are tough opponents that wreck me every Tuesday, but playing high skilled players should help you IN 2 ways: You learn faster and you learn what not to do.

Think about it though: why shouldn't higher skilled players also enjoy casual gamemodes?
They have the longest waiting time in comp games and they make mistakes too!
You're playing plat to champ players. Not pros. Gc is still around 3% of the playerbase. Think about that. Think about content creators like Lethymr, do they, top level players, play casual with their friends? or do they play custom/ranked games separate from the majority?

I am one of those who play the competitive game and I’m really seeing inexperienced people playing it comp and really playing games it really sucks to play RL since it opened as Free to Play was given the RIP would give this ♥♥♥♥ I don’t know why many do it seems who do it for the pleasure of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ others who want to compete and rank up

That's highly because of those players leaving games a lot once they start losing or miss open net goal etc. No matter what game mode you play nowadays, you will encounter lots of higher ranked players, casual, ranked, hoops, dropshot...

Last time I was suggested the absolute solution about it, which is "there shouldn't be any way to rank down". If champ player stays at champ, and gc stays at gc, there wouldn't be smurfs other than people whoever creates new accounts each time.

Casual still has an MMR, do none of you use BakkesMOD? Plus its casual, who cares. Its just a few warm up matches before playing ranked.

For anyone calling this a "troll post"....Please understand what trolling is.
Trolling definition: 1. intentionally causing aggravation an/or irritability through nonsensical arguments, comments and/or actions. 2. intentionally and repeatedly using the same action/word/emoji/argument in order to cause aggravation and/or irritability.
The term "troll" is an offensive word. The word "troll" has actually gained traction to troll people that have a different opinion, idea and/or thought process. Before claiming someone, some thing or some message as "troll(ing)", please step away from your own opinion, idea and/or thought process in order to see things from a different point of view.

Casual still uses an MMR to place you.

I don't know that I'd call you a troll but idk if that defends you much. I'd say believing that higher skilled players are purposefully trying to ruin casual games and are trying to avoid harder matches is pretty nonsensical. At least in bulk, sure there might be a few that do that but its far from 'an excessive amount.'

Yeah there has always been a balance problem in RL, it is because randoms can join party teams and because of smurfs, in which smurfs will never go away however if the game becomes more serious in the future (ranked) then matches could become more consistent...

Play it for the ball, a smurf can steal your ball but at least it is a ball.

honestly, you low skill players are ruining it for us high skilled players. just git gud you pepega
El_Fich 2021 年 1 月 18 日 下午 1:50
prehaps they are just chilling with a low-rank friend.

If you're under Champ rank you're rarely getting smurfed, just beat.

I have no issue with the occasional high-skill player showing up in a casual match on his own. What I have an issue with, is 4 out of 5 casual matches I play being against teams of 3 (with often at least 1 high-skill player).

1) They have a competitive advantage due to being organized

2) 9 times out of 10, they are rude scum. You know what I mean, "What a save! What a save! What a save!" because they're 1-0 up against 3 soloers. These people don't play casual to play casually, they play casual either to practice for competitive, or because they suck at competitive and want a morale boost.

3) 8 times out of 10, they ignore all casual chat like compliments (Nice Shot), banter (Calculated), etc. Where's the fun in that?

There needs to be a Solo Casual mode. Casual mode is at odds with teams. I should be able to filter out people like this and only play with other chill soloers like me.

My RL experience is made worse by their existence. They force me to be more competitive because I guess I'm not chill enough to hear "What a save!" without wanting to demolish them. Sure there's satisfaction when we beat them and they rage quit, but casual shouldn't have this competitive edge. I find myself becoming more and more toxic toward them.

What I'm trying to say is, can't we give them their own country and build a wall around it to stop them coming into ours?
