Tbh I’ve got no clue about it, was just wondering hah, 4K and potato pc.
Why doesn’t it look good without supersampling ? What’s the difference between with and without ?
By supersampling, you are running the game at 4K resolution and downscaling back to 1080p. This is a great form of anti-aliasing, it will smooth out jagged edges and incidentally hide the film grain but 4K is about 4 times more work than 1080p. You'll need a 2070 or above to play at 4K 144hz.
Heh was wondering the same when he mentioned dots and darkness.
So OP, is this only in the main menu ?
To get something that's actually like super-sampling you'll need to downscale from a higher resolution, which is done using Nvidia DSR or simply setting a custom resolution for your monitor. But that's obviously not recommended for you.
Try to stay at 1080p and set everything to low but don't disable transparent goal posts. Disable anti-aliasing as well. Then if you like the performance you can try to increase each setting and see if you like it. But unless you want to downsample I don't recommend any of the anti-aliasing modes for this game, they all suck.
You claimed that you're playing on a potato so I don't quite see how 4K is recommended to you.
