Is it easy to get titles that imply you are good?
I haven't played for a couple years or so and started again. I see players with tournament winner title, but they are really horrible. It just seems odd that you would get a title like this and then have a game with only like 50-80 points. I'm not great or anything, but even on a bad game I will earn 200+ points.

Well the only titles that indicate that you are good in this game are like rlcs challenger, elite, finalist or world champion titles. Or stuff like wsoe champion or dreamhack champion and so on. But those are pretty damn hard to get.

ranked Tournament winner title means nothing. U can try to get one 3 times a day in a tournament with 32 teams so chances of eventually winning one are quite high.

And who cares about points? Even the best players sometimes score under 100 points in a game. Like i have seen game where even one of the best players in the world had 12 points after 2 min 30 sec.

on old account there's a "pro" title that is pretty easy to achieve. New players might not know about it.

Those means you have no other things than RL in your life. Gc title is enough to say you're good yeah.

Yes i think so too that gc reward should be enough, but i left it out simply because i was sure if i put it in people come here saying how most of those titles are gotten through boosting and half the people who have them can't hit the ball and should never be even close to gc.

I'm not great and sometimes chase a little more than I should, but overall I'm pretty good about it. The strategy side of the game is definitely my strongest point. I'm not so great with flying up into the air for fancy shots, but I understand strategy, rotation and positioning very well.

Thanks, helpful response. I haven't played a ton and not that great. About 80 hours and only around mid plat skill level when I was playing regularly in the past. It's just often when I see the person with hardly any points they are also the one who is always in our way. The same one who constantly bumps into both teammates at the worst time and blindly chases the ball around. Sometimes it actually feels like a 2v3, I look at the scoreboard and this player has like 18 points, hasn't made a save, shot or assist, but the score is 3-3. I just kept seeing this pattern between low points and bad player.

I do agree that it's not everything to go by. I've had some games where halfway thru I have 20 points the 2 teammates have a bit more, but I get a goal and a few saves during the second half and end up with either with the most points or within 10-20 points of the teammates. Maybe this is just worse at the lower rankings. Only back to Silver 1 right now
