The feel was ok i liked the sticks and the sticks have a small range of motion on them , but the cutting off mid game is too much of a negative imo
After the DS4 cut off during a kick off i changed back to Xbox pad and never changed since !
I see. Thank you for your time <3
Psychotron, you probably had some other problem if you could actually feel input lag with a DS4 as compared to a XBOX controller.
Seeing as most pros play with a DS4. And DS4 polling rate is 240Hz, compared to a XBOX controller that are 120Hz I believe. Personally, I played with XBOX 360\One Razer Wildcat and a DS4 controller. DS4 felt most comfortable to me in RL (Razer Wildcat for other games).
Now for the main topic. I don't believe anyone actually tested it. I'm sure there's some way to test it programmatically, but so far, the tests I've seen for input lag were done using a high rate camera.

While the video itself is not entirely related to your post, there's a comment in the video that is, followed by a discussion you may find interesting. The comment is by Scyonite.
On top of that, the guy that runs this channel (HalfWayDead, Rocket Science) seems interested in this topic, so I would subscribe to the channel and wait for a video.
PS
What makes you ask? Do you experience input lag? If so, let me know what your PC specs, monitor, and video ingame settings are. I may be able to help.
I am already subbed to Rocket Science and I have seen the comment that you are referring to ^^. I commmented on a couple of his videos and he replied, saying that he would definitely test it when he gets some controllers.
I asked about this because I switched over to PC from ps4 a couple of months ago and something feels off. I can control my car more fluidly on ps4 despite having a PC (Msi gtx 1060, 16 gb ram, i7 ) that can run RL on 250 fps consistently with a 144 hz monitor to boot. My video settings are all on high performance, except render quality, which is high. Everything is disabled (shaders, dynamic shadows, etc), and anti aliasing and vsync are disabled too. I'm at a loss. Maybe this is all placebo, but I doubt that.
I'm in the same boat as you are. Switched from playing RL on PS4 to PC a few months ago and I had to adjust to playing RL on PC. It also felt a little off for me.
Are you currently using the DS4 wireless or through a cable? if you're on wireless, try using a cable and see if that helps control your vehicle more fluidly.
I bought a high speed usb bluetooth and put my game on the SSD (960 evo) and when I played RL on PS4 again after a few days it felt like the PS4 or controller somehow felt sluggish/slow as heck.
Sometimes it's just perception.

My post did not mention input lag , i actually said i noticed no input lag , i was referring to the integrity of the usb connection , and if i slightly adjust my hands sometimes the USB would cut off.
I think the OP input lag may be coming from the set up , monitor refresh rate perhaps . I know a lot of players like to max their FPS to 250 when having a 60 Hz panel .
Yeah it could be... so you use bluetooth to connect your ds4?

I used to think that that might be the problem too, but i recently got a 144hz monitor and i can still feel something.
Yea I use the ASUS USB-BT400 and it works great. There is a new playstation bluetooth adapter now too. Maybe worth checking out?
Yeah, i think i'll research about them ^^.
Btw, I connect my controller to the USB port on top of my case. Do you think that connecting to the back directly to the motherboard would be any different?
ds4 is "dualshock 4", or in other words, the playstation 4's controller
