what will happen to my steam copy of rocket league?

Existing Steam users can continue to play the game by linking their account (or creating a dummy account).

It wont start, i linked it to my epic account, i gave all my data to epic, its still not starting.

you can still play the game and reinstall it from your library, nothing will change except you have to link a epic account.

Well you obvs did something wrong, I just clicked create n within 2 seconds I was back playing the game

Since EGS have already lied and also violated players rights, most likely in the future you will be forced to also use their platform to open the game. Getting people to link the account, was just the first phase, if you have an account, you are more likely to buy and use their platform after all.

Anyway.. the storepage on steam goes dark soon.. "nobody can obtain the game on steam anymore after that"

I said in the future you will be forced to use their launcher (platform) for sure.. when they bought Psyonix last year they said, that they would never force steam users to make an EGS account, link their steam or anything, they would keep letting this be a steam game as well.... so.. what happened?

Rocket League is a cheap pawn in a game of chess... sadly for Psyonix, because they will see their game go down and be forced to make Rocket League 2 (it will be out 2021) but well.. atleast that will be a EGS exclussive, so we don´t have to talk about it to much here hopefully.
