THEY FORCE US TO LINK AN EPIC-ACCOUNT??!!!! In all honesty, I don't get upset easily, especially not by games, but I am ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ furious right now. I bought the game... ON STEAM!!! ALRIGHT?! ON STEAM!

Isn't linking just for items/ranks etc? So someone who plays on Xbox and PC can have the same inventory on both platforms. I don't think you need to connect your account to actually play the game.

I tried to play the game without linking, but there is no way out of the linking menu.

No, you need to ACTUALLY LINK an Epic Games account to your Rocket League account. Otherwise, you can't even get into the Main Menu...

Devs are literally owned by Epic now. So they will not do anything about this idiotic situation.

They don't even provide an option to quit. Alt F4 doesn't work so have to alt tab out and end the game from Task Manager.

Same. Patch notes even say, that you "can link", but nothing about "you MUST". Moderator had to step in to comment section, to say, that now you must link accounts. Sorry, but this not happening from me. F Rocket League. Have fun with F2P fortnite kids.

Did you ever buy an Ubisoft game from Steam? You must login to uPlay. Didn't you play GTA V? You must login to Rockstar Acc. Need for Speed and other EA games requires link to Origin. And Bethesda games like Quake Champion, Rage 2, Skyrim requires to login to Bethesda Launcher. There are lots of game does the same thing. It's nothing new nor special.
