Titanium white octane

is it possible that the white octane will ever appear in the item shop? Dominus and Fennec did

No. Pained octanes are non-crate imports, they can't appear in the item shop.

They've pretty much set this rule themselves, not a single non-crate item has appeared in the item shop since it's release almost a year ago. Obviously they can change it at any given time, but that's how it works right now and that's what this answer was based on

Now that they have added more items to the non-crate pool, and these items do show up in the item shop in painted variations its 50 times harder to get a painted octane never mind a white one. Sooner or later they will put the white octane in the shop on a special occasion like they did with the white zomba on Christmas day when it was more popular. The previous answer says that the legacy non-crate are not in the shops rotation but that dose not stop items being plucked and placed there individually under a different rarity like they did with the white dominus.

not even remotely true, painted dominus's, christianos, pixelated shades, heaps of reissued ex-dlc items have been in the store

You just said it yourself, ex-dlc items. We're talking about the non-crate items that you get as a random drop from a game or a trade up

Currently, painted common cars, boosts and wheels can be obtained through Drops but as they can contain items from crates/from free drops before F2P, they are more rarest than before (glad I got a lime Breakout from a drop), so it's not impossible.
