Seems you need to go back to the basics and relearn.

The fact that you think they drift differently just goes to show how easily people can be deceived when they don't know the facts.
All vehicles move the same, the only difference is the hitbox of each car.
I know this as a fact, and even knowing this, when I use something like the Nimbus, it feels faster because of the make of the car, in reality, it's the exact same speed of all the rest of the cars. Smaller cars will have this effect on your mind because smaller more sleek cars have a faster feel in real life. This game isn't real life.
Sports car or clunky bus, they both move the same. The only difference is the hitbox. Don't like that reality, bring it up with Psyonix, they were the ones that chose this to keep things fair no matter what vehicle you choose.
The hitbox being different on vehicles is what would make them "generally behave the same." If you drive at the ball and do a front flip, different hitboxes will behave differently due to how they are made.
