So I paid 20$ for a game that’s gonna be free
I’ve been playing rocket league since 2016 and I’ve had a lot of fun playing the game but I’m wondering what’s gonna happen to the players who spent the 20$ before the game went free. Will we get a special badge or nothing at all?

Everyone who plays in Rocket League before switching to free-to-play will get exclusive items. You can read about it here https://www.rocketleague.com/free-to-play/

A lot fo things, including golden items which r basically like alpha, and a title that is the date you joined, so you get a 2016 title. we also get the rocket league branded dlc cars like esper

On top of the list of items that was mentioned, you also received the X amount of hours you've played the game up until this point. It's something that's being overlooked quite often.

What you mean, couldn't understand...

He is saying for 20$(or have ever much you played) you got X amount oi hours of playtime. Which you can amuse is enjoyment to a degree.

Also to make something clear the only reason the game CAN go free is because people paid to play it in the 1st place. thats what made updates able to happen.

Steam game hub is for questions. Why would a person go to twitter or their page? This is the correct place. No one force u or other special snowflakes to answer.

People not taking the time to read pinned faq's at the top of the page and then asking a question that is directly answered in said pinned faq's is annoying.

Its for questions you cant find any answers to online. Opening up google once would answer this question really fast and it helps not spamming this thread with the same questions over and over again

still get to use it on steam

aside from that you could also say its to support the game. I get money is a big problem for people but this is the same rabbit hole cs go went though people that had the game for like 15 years were like "i deserve my money back or free items" its dumb you got all the play time and people are still mad that someone is getting something free. Its being selfish.

and i dont care to talk about all the "but people will smurf more" thats a problem without it being free its just going to show up more now.
