Trading up exotics...?

yeah i'm just gonna go ahead and demand to trade up my 5 unpainted exotic wheels for a black market, it's only fair. that's like $30 worth of keys to collect those and they're just sitting in my inventory doing jack. nobody will trade for them. there is literally nothing i can do with them other than just sit there looking at them knowing they should be a black market and still sitting there with 5 sets of worthless exotic wheels. i'm not sure why this was kept out of the game in the first place. "flooding the market" with black markets is a completely, 100% invalid argument. you keep coming out with new cosmetic content, that pushes all the old stuff further and further back on the shelf. 90% of it already never sees the light of the pitch anyway, who cares if a few hundred extra CCS 1-4, Turbo and Nitro series black markets are minted? nobody except the people who have enough stuff to trade up for them. I spent the money on it, and continue to spend the money on it, I deserve to complete my trade-ups.

5 Exotic items should be traded up to a painted Exotic. Give them some value.

no, i maintain the only worthy solution is black markets. they're in the crates, same as the rest of the stuff. If i spent enough time and money to acquire 5 exotics from the same series, i feel i deserve a rando black market that's in that crate. ESPECIALLY since they're worth a fraction of a key unpainted, and only a couple keys even if they are painted. I think it's unfair to have a set of tradeable items while also being unable to trade them up. It's the same spirit as the Very Rares everybody had a ton of, and that's why they came out with the painted default cars and changed painted common wheels to painted exotics. it's the exact same premise, only i, and really all of us, spent money on these worthless exotics. I'm not saying they don't look cool. they do. but it's not worth anything to have 5 or more of them sitting completely unused. There's no possible way allowing us to trade those up for black markets could harm the game or the in-game economy. Hell, if they really wanted to, they could separate decals from goal explosions, not tier-wise, mind you, and that way you had to go through 5 decals to get a goal explosion. I reject the idea that exotics should be the pinnacle of the trading pyramid. They spent all the time and effort and money animating that stuff, what's the point in keeping it so incredibly exclusive? ESPECIALLY the older crate series! When's the last time you saw someone sporting a black market decal from CCS 1 or 2 that WASN'T heatwave?? Allowing more people to have access to that stuff can only bring it more value and recognition, not less.

buy 5 fgsp for 2k, trade them up to get tora at least 3k or more like heatwave

Never even mind the fact that you can't get any of the 1-4 series crates anymore, so if you have 5 exotics from them, but no more of the crates, you're just SOL unless you happen to find someone with one of the items from it, but they're not going to take 5 exotics, you likely have to trade keys, which means more money.

ya, but trading them for bm is bad idea in my opinion.

but they're painted. painted exotics are worth something. unpainted exotics are worth nothing.
