Xbox One or PS4 Controller?
Hey guys!

I have over 350 hours played with an Xbox 360 controller, unfortunately, it's gotten pretty old due to obvious use (not just in this game of course). So I'm looking into buying a new controller.

Which ones do you guys recommend, which one do you believe is more comfortable, more consistent, more helpful in terms of ground and aerial game. All in all, which one is more precise.

Thanks in advance! :)

It's mostly about personal preference really. Everyone has their own personal tastes, and one controller may seem better than the other to certain people. If possible, I would recommend trying both and keeping whichever one you liked better. I personally liked the ergonomic design of the Xbox One controller as it felt better in my hands, and the trigger buttons and joysticks feel nicer in my opinion.

Another note: my main gripe with the PS4 controller is that it's not universally compatible with all the games I play on PC. It requires the use of third-party software to function well with all PC games. I didn't want to deal with the hassle configuring it seperately, however from what I have read, it does open up a lot of options for customizing the controls (and it's really not that complicated to use, it's just that I'm too lazy :P). If it weren't for this, I wouldn't have bothered buying the Xbox One controller and would have kept using the DS4 (since I have a PS4 anyways.)

Rocket League is compatible with the DualShock 4, so if you intend to use it just for this game and prefer the DS4, then go for it. Or if you don't mind the use of third-party software, then it should be fine. Ultimately, it's all about what you prefer since, as I said, everyone has different tastes.

Not sure what third party software you're on about, I just plug either controller in and they work without having to dl anything. Never had to customise anything either.

Not all games are compatible with the DualShock 4. Rocket League supports the DS4, so it works as simple as plug and play. But some of the games I own don't recognize the DS4, and require said software to function properly.

Why not just buy another 360 controller? Seems to make the most sense
On linux all games work with ps4 controllers perfectly
No need third party software.

Then you can you choose

That was my initial plan, if the 360 controller hadn't basically vanished from all stores where I live that is :P
I use an Xbox one controller wired in with the play and charge wire . It controls perfectly as far as I notice and feels comfortable.

I have recently considered trying a DS4 primarily for rocket league. My reasoning being afaik the game originated on PlayStation and I think the DS4 is good to hold for a long session.

My mate tried steam controller recently to take advantage of the rear extra buttons but he went back to his xbox pad shortly after. Personally I think I would like to use rear buttons I would like to try steam controller too .
