Can you implement some sort of mmr decay pls
I seriously don't have much time to play anymore. Every time I log on. Im pretty sure my mmr doesn't decay. The game thinks I am as good as I used to be, so I log in, lose, stop playing, dont play for a week, log in, lose, ya know? Can you just implement mmr decay so I don't just get smashed every time I decide to spend an hour or 2 playing?

I think there's soft decay after month inactivity. By the way are you mentioning Competitive or Casual?

Any of em, I can't win a game to save my life. I've played a lot of games too, so it really thinks "it knows" where I am mmr wise. But I'm one of those players that can build and take off rust quick. But all it "knows" how to do is give me terrible one sided loses. I guess after 10 more losing streak sessions it may finally fix itself but holy f, I'm thinking about just not grinding through that. Might just leave tbh.

Let me quote my favourite answer:
Originalmente postado por VonPumpkinson:
No, matchmaking is working as intended: pairing you with or against players with similar skill. What it can't do is understand player behavior: tired, inebriated, frustrated, and so on. It's a player issue, and nothing to do with matchmaking.
Not saying it is completely related to your case.

Also I recommend to maybe search players to play:

Or Official RL Discord server:

All I'm doing is posting a real problem. I can see how this problem could end up causing people to stop playing completely. Mmr decay is useful. If you don't play, you lose your skill over time. not over months, over weeks and even days. Why should I play this game at all anymore? spend 2 hours a week losing for 10 weeks until the game finally realizes I'm not as good as I used to be and that I don't spend any time in free play anymore. Or, I could stop playing, find a new game with a fresh mmr that molds to me in 3 or 4 games instead of 30 loses over 10 weeks which is how long apparently it takes RL's matchmaking to adapt on old accounts. Maybe they just want you to buy a new account. I mean I guess we are figuring out the answer to my prob haha. Maybe I'll try this Valorant out. I'd rather be bronze or silver in Valorant and win half my games than be champ in RL and lose every single game I play.

mmr decay no offence is one of the worst ideas to have them do , then Smurfs could more easily trash camp lower levels even easier. they are already an issue and mmr decay would make it even worse. atleast with the way things are they either not play for a long time , which is less of a headache, or they loose on purpose taking others mmr with them which is a ♥♥♥♥ move, but it does allow people to report them, so that helps with getting rid of some of the toxic crap people have to deal with. Okay i have a few ways you can get to lower rank without epicly pissing ALOT of people off.

1) find some friends to join with you, enter matches , let the other team know that you are
loosing on purpose because your too high ranked its too hard for you , and loose ranks fast

2) go to rocket leagues offical site , put in a ticket asking for a hard reset on your account and
let them know the reasons why.

3) have a friend log in for you and do idea #1 .

You are already loosing games which is lowering your mmr, so just hold fast my friend, if you are the only one you will allow to play on your account, then its only time. the thing though is, once you get your MMR lower, then start to win games , it will go up. so really it comes down to, do you like playing RL or not. if not then simply uninstall and maybe down the road pick it up again, or straight up quit and forget about the game. and as a mod posted a comment , i do agree match making accounts for whatever numbers are thrown at it, not human situations. we all have good and bad days. i work with the slowest internet the company has , a mouse which likes to x3 click or not click at all sometimes , a keyboard which my keys pops out when matches get intense and a PC that is on its death bed lol. if i can work with that, i think you work out something that will work for you, just setup back from yourself and take a peep, gl bud.

A hard reset across the board for every account is long over due. So many boosted players ruining the entire game I do agree with that. Not exactly what my initial post was about but yeah.
