In more than half the games i play, noobs are heading for the corner boost as soon as they can move and abandoning the goal, which frequently leads to goals, and often that kind of player means we lose the match as well. They should be banned they are all idiot scum.

Well cheers for the comments dudes, but as wel all agree, only low skilled players leave goaltending before the ball has been hit. It can fly off at any angle and we've all seen a rebound fly into the net. Sad fact is the developers dont care about the game anymore though and will let it die through no updates and gradually breaking servers, so I doubt something as vital as correctly disciplining players is on their agenda at all.

Because psyonix doesn't punish players who actually do kickoff correctly is proof that this game is dying?

To your argument that only low skilled people leave goal before kiclpff happen is incredibly stupid. Check any pro game and u never see anyone staying in goal unless they go for fake.
Grand champs that i know always tell never to stay goal in kickoff.

If u get scored dircetly from kickoff it is not because ur teammate doesn't stay at net but because u suck at kickoffs.

I wish they had some training in game for this, it's incredibly annoying when the goalkeeper either just goes for a boost or drives forward for the ball, leading to conceding a goal, it's like they can't work out the game put them in that specific position for a reason.
if you aren't the one kicking off, you, as a solo player, are the goalie, even if your not the furthest back.

makes me wonder who's shown them to go for a boost instead of protect the goal, or is it natural, whatever, it's not the right way to play, unless you want to play at a disadvantage lol

Funny, I believe people that only ♥♥♥♥♥ on the forums and throw a fit should be banned from them. I mean you could try and leave some information for people to help them improve.

Like give facts behind the statement

Spending 35 boost to Get 100 boost just to spend 45 of said boost to get back to where you started from is a little much, as each shot that will be done by kick can be saved by 35 boost


Here is another bit of info for you as well. If you notice that every time your "Goalie" is going for corner boost, you might try a delay start to the kick off Guaranteeing yourself the 2nd touch and allowing the ball to go to their side of play.

To me it sounds like you need to stop playing rocket league and go for a walk, your emotions are being allowed to control your gameplay and suffers due to that.

The problem you have can be solved like stated above or,

you could play 1s where you dont need "help" getting the rank you want. Or playing with people that your ego deem worthy of your God like statues and worthy of being graced with your superior rocket league skills so that you dont have the "bronze" team m8

I’m guessing op and anyone else moaning about this are the type of people who are leaving the game straight after a kick off goal with 4:55 left on the clock. If you can actually kickoff properly the ball should never go behind you. It should either go out to the side, giving the player time to get the boost and be back in position or forward because your better at kickoffs. Blaming another player for your poor kickoff is just the norm nowadays I suppose tho

As long as the one going for the ball actually hit the ball, the goalie has more than enough time to go for boost and return.

Then again, most people don't seem to know how to do a quick 180 to return so they take 2 seconds longer and think this is impossible.

why do keepers stay in goal at soccer? Even if the ball never get's close to them for lets say 80 minutes? Simply because it's their job.

Why do ppl closest to goal in RL move away? Simply because the game put you there for 90% of the time while you did not ask for it.

Why do people want a goalie? To give their mind some ease

What do you like more? someone who stick to the goal for like 10 seconds, or the one moving away instantly? Indeed you like the one that stays, EVEN if he messed it up and mis the ball resulting in a goal.


It's al about the mindset.


Now those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that leave after the first goal with more then 4 minutes on the clock, they should be banned and locked up for life.

If the kick off is taken properly the chances are really slim that the ball is going to go strait for your net, that's on the person up-front, the Goalie getting boost and heading back to goal is far more of an advantage gained if the kick off is not flopped.
