Division rank ups
Beginner here; I just ranked up from bronze 1 division 4 to bronze 2 division 2? So you can skip divisions between rank numbers?

Yes. I think it can happen if you have high Win streak. Or maybe if you didn't wait everytime for rank to show after match.

It depends on a thing called "mmr" (match making ratio) , if the oponents had a high mmr meaning they have won a lot of games and you beat them having a semi-marginal difference, you can skip 1 division sometimes on a game that get's you to the next rank set. If you are still confused look up a video about mmr.
Additionally to the already mentioned reasons, there is also another MMR mechanic, the sigma value, which represents the ranking systems uncertainty in your rank. A high sigma value can massively increase the MMR gain/loss and will slowly decrease over the course of 50-100 games.
Your rank might fluctuate while the system is still trying to calibrate, so skipping a division is common for new accounts.

"MMR" stands for "Matchmaking Rating".

The game makes you gain enough extra MMR at IV that you can skip straight to II in the next division before it moves you up. It always does that on purpose so that you don't lose your new division immediately if you lose the first match. Its purely for your psychological benefit since people don't like to lose a new division that they worked really hard to get immediately.
