I find that the better tactic is when the demo man is good at aerials. A quick redirect in front of the opposing net can be an easy goal or at the very least, a good fake.
Point is, if it works, why not do it? Just learn to play against it and you'll be fine.
1. you jump, he goes below you
2. you jump again, he goes below you
3. demo guy learned that you jump, so 3rd time you stay on ground, he will jump over you
4. demo guy is unsure what he needs to do, so you dodge him with a side roll.
5 demo guy will try once more, thinking you will roll to the other side, so you just jump
demo guy get's pissed because he can't hit you and is going after someone else, and once a while he tries you again so you only have to jump.
Demo's are very effective, had a few times where i needed to choose between dodging or defending, defending would mean i blow up, so i gave him that one. if you can hit the ball then blow up, there is no problem at all, team mate can fill in the gap for the rebounce..
Those points only apply to an aggressive demo guy. Its a lot more effective
If you sit at the back of the opponents net and bump them out whenever they get in position to make a save. Since you're right at the back with ballcam on and you never need to go for the ball. It's easy to dodge anyone that tries to demo you out of their net. Even if they do try you still succeeded in taking them out of play. Note I do this myself only if one of theirs is out demoing people. It's quite effective.
2nd time leave
I hate replays and would love to see them gone, but i just don't see why they should only be disabled in heatseeker.
In the majority of games that I play a goal is scored at least every 30 seconds if not sooner, when 1 person dose not hit skip the replays last almost as long as the played match with the time paused... so if a match lasts 3-4 minutes, 1.5-2 of them playtime that is a loss of 50% xp for the same time in any other mode when there is no double xp event.
I've found myself going into other modes to level the rocket pass just for time to xp efficiency as less goals are normally scored.
Even 2v2 has quite often close to 10 goals and peoplr refuse to skip.
It just would not make any sense to remove it from 1 mode and leave it for all the other modes.
And i am quite sure that 95% of people don't care at all about how many rocket pass levels they get from normal play.
Getting replays out of entire game would be nice. If u wanna watch ur goal again, save the replay.
