Seriously, how many smurfs are there in 1v1s?

Now you might think, "ok this guy is bad", but lemme tell you something, the amount of people in GOLD in casual for 1v1 who have GC mechanics is insane, they can hit flip resets, have perfect basically everything, and this is impossible to beat. 1v1 is a good gamemode to see where you need improvement but come on, these are too many smurfs!

This entire game is full of smurfs. Scrubs too scared to lose their rank on their main because they think they are the best. I'm a casual and don't care about learning all this hit flip reset business because I play for fun. That is what video games are about, ENTERTAINMENT, all these people that think their lives depend on winning a fkn game need to go to a psychiatric hospital and get their heads sorted out.

Now I know there are those that play games for a living via streaming and videos, but most of them don't take it seriously. They play because they enjoy the game, and want to share their enjoyment with others.

Smurfs just ruin the game for everyone, they will lose matches to be put against lower ranked players, just so they can feel superior with their "mechanics" that they can do. All I say is ♥♥♥♥ Off smurfs, either play you main or don't play at all.

I don't know how many smurfs there are, just some guys who want to freestyle and do it there since they can't do those in their own ranks simce they are not good enough yet.

People use 1v1 to practise stuff so it seems there are smurf accounts when it is just people who don't want to play to win but just make low rank people look bad while they practise since it is more fun than playing freeplay and i understand that.

I'm Diamond 2/3 in 2s and Standard. High Platinum in Solo Standard.
And wait for it.. Gold in 1s because I don't prefer to play it.

It can be true about Smurfs, but there can be players like me.
Also don't be scared from players who know ho how to flip reset. They can just practice that hard and can be bad with other mechanics.

yeah im also diamond in 2s and can only reach high gold low plat in 1s because i normaly dont play it

Seriously I've said this time and again, why tf are you allowed to forfeit when winning or even drawing, dev's dont care about anything other than the next rocket pass they can make money from

So you can report them for Unsportsmanlike, leaving game.
Maybe there's some system looking on too many Forfeit votes.

It's not bad idea to try that as test for one day or few to see if it's good or not.
I can think of needing Forfeit vote for some case when you need to end early for some reason.
Maybe there's some more serious reason too.

True... didn't think of this. However, as mentioned in a video I saw recently, I also think it's so they can play on their alt acc so they don't derank on their main.

I thnik we can all agree the report/forfeit/ban system could do with being looked at.

For such a competitive game, and one that can be seriously affected by people smurfing, forfeiting early or leaving matches early I've never seen anything else with such a relaxed/minor punishment system, but as the game/system is so old I think we can also agree nothing is going to change at this point

yeah at this point I just use 1v1s to see how far my practicing has taken me and what to practice next. I don't really give a crap about my 1v1 rank tbh

Duels isn't popular for obvious reasons. There's only 1,000 players at a time. It's likely you'll encounter someone with high rank.

Well the OP did say casual so it could be that that player isn't normally playing unranked and so has a low mmr. Plus all all casual playlists share 1 mmr so that doesn't help. I'm C3 dip into GC ranked player depending on the mode but when it comes to 1v1 i think im only diamond 3 so can be a lot of that too. I'm terrible at 1s I'll either wreck shop or get beat like 7 to 2 or something. there is no middle ground for me when it comes to that mode
