Fancied a game of RL but it won't launch gentlemen. It gets to the Psyonix splash screen then goes to my desktop.
Any of you other gents/ladies having the same bother?

Crash after launch
I've tried lots of things, but nothing worked. I went through the whole troubleshot guide and made every step, with same result.

The game starts, the Psyonix logo (it freezes) is shown and it crashes to desktop. No error message, no nothing.
I've read lots of posts with this very same problem, and no particular solution.

I've reinstalled a thousand times, including Steam and everything. I just can't play Rocket League again for some reason, so please, help me!

what's your PC Specs?

Try temporary solution. Set Steam launch options:
-dx9
https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043307733-DirectX-11

Or this:

Try to install game to other Local Disk.

Tried do merge topics together for you guys because I think it's similiar or identical issue.

Yes, it is the same problem. Looks like it.

My PC specs:
i5 4690K (stock values)
GPU MSI GTX 970
16GB RAM
Installed on my HDD
Windows 10, updated
Playing on a AOC monitor, 2560x1440 75hz.

I got to add, the game worked without any problem until now. I run the game, the server was down and I quit the game. The next time I run the game, like 30 minutes later, the problem appeared. I hope this work.

Thanks for the fast reply :)

I have a
I7 6700K
GTX 980 ti
32GB Corsair RAM

But the game worked fined before. Anything to do with the recent Nvidia Drivers?

Thanks! The DX9 trick worked but why doesn't' DX11?

Thank you so much!

Nice at least for now. As I wrote it's temporary solution. Only thing for now what you're loosing with Directx 9 is not supported Bakkes mod.
You both have I would say almost recommended requirements to run it.
https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020051214-What-are-the-minimum-system-requirements-on-Steam-

I need to run as administrator in Win64 folder. (Gtx 1060 6GB)

For Nvidia drivers question I can confirm that it helped to go for older version.
Issue on Discord for one guy:
> Hello guys my RL isnt launchin no idea why. I own a i5 7500 GTX 1070 latest drivers ,16gb ram , game is updated

Solution for him:
> so i woke up a bit earlier , did a rollback on a restore point from the 16th before updatin gpu drivers and game works without any problems
Not sure what happened between 18th and 20th other than updating drivers so I cant pinpoint the problem

You guys can try to contact RL support. I think it's possible to run with Dx11 but since you can play for now with Dx9 then it could be lot of wasted time for both sides.

Submit Ticket to Support and send them msinfo32 file, guide here:
"1. Press the Windows key + R
2. Type msinfo32 in the dialog box and hit enter.
3. Click on File
4. Select Export... from the drop list.
5. Name the file so that you can easily find it.
6. Attach the file to your next reply to us."
