Is a controller really THAT better tho

Have played with a controller for about 150 hrs of my whole playtime straight to now (it just broke). So i returned to my good ol' mouse and keyboard where mouse does all the dodges and aerial controls ; keyboard does ground control and rolls.

And it feels so much more accurate, my aerials became so powerful, i can reach the ball so fast in air while with controller i was happy if i hit the ball at least in opponents goal side

Here is a few notices:
1) Controller was very cheap
2) Controller had huge sensitivity
3) It didnt have additional buttons for exacly left/right roll as i believe some expensive gamepads do have

So here are my pros for controller:
1) Better ground control/ground dribbling
2) Easier to dodge exactly where you do want (as mouse isnt so accurate in this)
And pro for KBM:
1) Better air control as you literally point with your whole hand, not with a finger

TLDR
So what do you guys think? Would my experience be much better if gamepad had less sensitivity/additional buttons?
Should i try to buy an original DS/Xbox controller? Or i should better get gud with mouse?

Not better at all, there are pro’s who play with both.

well, i know a GC guy who won Rocket League India Championship, with a KBM... yep, a KBM.
he ever tried to get into controller but he can't, he keep playing with KBM now and keep scoring trophies

So, it back to the person, if you feel joystick giving you more edge, go for it, if u like mouse more, go for it

With controller you can be more accurate, since you can move the joystick in any exact direction, while with KBM you can only steer full right or full left.
Also with controller you can control your speed by pressing the R2 button as far as you want.

However, with controller you can easily flip in a direction you didn't intend to go to, because you didnt aim the joystick well.
And with controller it is much harder to arrange all the key bindings.

I've mostly played the game with controller, and it feels like I'm limiting myself.

This is almost completely about what you're used to. If you switch to whatever you're not used to I can guarantee you that it will be worse. Much, much worse. The first time I tried a controller I couldn't even do the rookie finishing. Missed four of them. It took me a long time to get as good with a controller as I was with keyboard/mouse.

if you're equally good with both I think your points are good. Dribbling, aerials and close precision easier with a controller, changing direction, slides and speed of reaction a little better with a keyboard/mouse. But not by much. Just pick one and stick to it.

Controller is better in the lower ranks, but in the higher ones the difference is very minimal. Compare Squishy to Yukeo: Squishy being a controller player appears to have smoother movement, whilst Yukeo, who stayed with keyboard the whole time, has slightly jerkier and sudden movement but that works to his advantage sometimes.
