But the message is the same, the HCB hasn't been proven to exist ever. Your fix, while effective, has nothing to do what the HCB "is".
No, it was a while ago and I saw her bring it up in a stream. That's the only reason I said maybe it was a thing.
In this so called hcb the whole issue is simply input latency that can be caused by the computer struggling or being strained to work the game properly because of so many things:
- 3rd party controller emulator, these alone have god knows what running hidden and work on top of steam controller api and then the direct input of the game itself, creating input loops between all and causing unnecessary controller delay.
- having a cpu that’s not multithreading and using several crap on the background like obs or browsers that take over 1gb of ram to work, straining the real-time processing of the game, leaving direct input trailing behind.
- available ram reaching the limit and having pagefile to compensate, the game performance will become overall slower and aggravated depending on what’s happening on windows.
- settings related to vsync that make the game have frames waiting and pacing in order to display a smooth image but like the frames get placed on hold before being displayed, input gets the same treatment.
More crap that I honestly don’t have the patience to type but overall it’s related to raw performance, settings or 3rd party emulators causing additional loops/delays.
