Breakout used to be popular...

What happened to it? I know Octane has always been the favorite, but you used to hear stuff about the breakout too. Why does nobody use it as much anymore?

i think the batmobile killed the breakout but i think flatter cars are kinda making a comback i know some pros switch from the octane to the batmobile or dominus

For the most part when people want to use a flat car (especially for flicks) they move over to batmobile or dominus. Breakout is still a good car though just not used as much.

I remember paladin cars were a flat car favorite in the younger days of Rocket League.

breakout was a thing until rlcs lan season 1, when kux and overzero made the batmobile meta. since then its been octane/batmobile, with the occasional - and more recently on the rise - dominus

I just started to really get into rocket league. I use to hate breakout and always rocked the dominus. But now Im playing daily and trying to get better the breakout has grew on me and I use it most now. :)

Breakout is still the #2 "common" car in the list (#1 is Octane still)

'16 Batmobile is flat and has his own hitbox, this is why he's popular.

Paladin has the Batmobile hitbox at this point of time, but it has some pretty bad stats otherwise.

Plank-type hitbox (Centio V17, Paladin, Mantis...).

Batmobile is not part of the Plank type, just a original hitbox specific to him as his old hitbox got reverted back during the Autumn update.
