who is quitting?
lets just get a thread going
who is going to quit over the new blueprint system?

20 dollars to unlock wet paint (i sold my wet paint for three keys pre-update)? 8 dollars for titanium white chakrams (and no one uses them, they were 1 key pre-update)? you can't trade up any old crate items (that means millions of items essentially worthless)?

i used to love Epic, but now i kinda hate Epic.

I guess this is a good reason to sell my XB1 controller, because i really only used it for Rocket League.

Comment your comp rank and hours played to show Epic that they really made a big F up with this new system

I have spent over 1000 dollars on RL. I know that might be cringe to say, but I really do enjoy the game and I loved the crate system. Pysonix will no longer get my money if this is the path that Epic wants them to take.

I have spent 1600 hours on rocket league and i was last ranked at plat

I’m quitting bc of all the braindead and little kids I get on my team I can’t even talk ♥♥♥♥ bc they all go REPORTED when I talk ♥♥♥♥ back. RL community is all little girls now sad to see it come to this bc I liked the game. After epic came into the scene it kinda died for me can’t have the same fun I used to. Might get on every once in a while to see how it’s feeling but it does kinda suck to have the game fall apart. Plus it’s gonna die in a year or so. The one thing I’m gonna miss ab this game is the trash talking I loved it but I get reported so much now ig I just be flaming them too bad. I’m also gonna miss the fellow big dawgs that talk ♥♥♥♥ and don’t report just a roast session. If u are one of the little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that report go back to playing fortnite and Minecraft

"fellow big dawgs" lol

1200 hours in, i've poored between me and my wife maybe 100 to 150 (i'm not that much into microtransaction). we both have quite a lot of stuff in our inventory from events, trading and mixing item ups. now it will be impossible to grab a damn thing.
you know what, that's ok, halo just released, humle bundle changed their system and i will have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of games to play.
so they will wait a week and people are spending enough so they won't touch the price, or will play the generous god and cut prices in half, which is still too much, not to mention that damn credits pack system, they sure as hell don't want you to convert to your local money

Close to 700 hours on the steam version (used to play on the ps4). Peak rank was plat. I haven't spent much on this game microtransactions-wise (prob around 40-50 dollars, and most of that went toward rocket passes). I was excited to see what rp5 would bring but honestly I don't care now. Idk about others but I'd get decent enough drops from crates--or at least decent enough that I was happy with what I got and spent far less using keys than I would have building the blueprints for those items. Since the update I've played a few games, but nowhere near as much as I would have had crates still been around. This definitely won't be a go-to game for me anymore, not even remotely. RIP game.
Imagine quitting the game because of cosmetic items lmfao
1700 hours here. Hated the crate system and hate the blueprint system. I'll buy the passes because I can see what I'm unlocking (plus it gives me something to shoot for). But I have no plans on quitting just because the cosmetic system sucks. I only use the same handful of cars/wheels/etc. anyways.

2000+ hrs playing RL......2 hours ( give or take ) trading. I've spent 100$ or so on crates. So......i could care less about the new update. This thread has 2 or 3 people quitting so far. Last time i played there were almost 200,000 people online. I guess next time i play there will only be 199,997 players. I play RL because i love playing the game and will continue to play regardless of any updates that affect trading. RL will never die....quote me!

It's not possible to have a meaningful boycott of a game you've already bought. If it's a wrench for you, don't expect other people to follow you at all. Maybe refusing to spend money will make some difference, but not playing won't be noticed.

Its not about cosmetic items, its how we're being treated as consumers where now psyonix doesn't see as as a player base but as a means to an end for their cash cowing shrilling with epic games which they aren't epic they're trash. They completely ruined the whole point of crates in the first place, their was nothing wrong with the crate system, yet they felt the need to force a change to make players pay more for less, its legit insane, and they better reverse this decision or reap what they sow.

For everyone that is upset about the blueprints and their costs. Not playing the game does not tell Epic anything, playing the game but not paying for the blueprints does. People stop playing games all the time, developers know this and anyone who stops for this reason it will just be assumed as normal loss. However, hitting the cash flow generated by the skins will raise a flag on their end as they see a drop in income but not a drop in player base and will look into why and if they can make changes that will correct it.

You see what I was talking about.

I droped in for about 500 hours of 1v1 in the last half a year. 1s is really all I grind. Mostly enjoyed the item market. I really could tell you how much has been spent on just buying keys them a middleman or others. Last time i tried to tally up was mid Nov. At that time i spent roughly 1500 $ with only 2 companies buying up Keys and Creats. Felt the need to buy alot of ♥♥♥♥ per update and somehow i knew it was gonna be a ♥♥♥♥ show for the trading aspect of RL. Just Started feeling good and playing good all around.

THANKS FOR PUNCHING ME IN THE MOUTH OPERATORS:steamsalty:

I'm not quitting since the update changed barely anything for me. Don't care about items, don't care about the changes, a lot less frustration.

You are missing the bigger picture. Its not about the items. Its about a greedy ass company that is screwing the community that has made it what it is.

Its not about the game - its about how companies treat their customers.
I feel treated perfectly fine. I like the archiving feature, so that's a bonus. Psyonix is A-okay in my book, the community isn't, they're a much more severe problem.

2100 hours in and 90% of all players on all platforms just plain SUCK.
ZangoMango 7/dez./2019 às 11:45
Personal opinion: If you play 2100 hours of any game I could see how you'd start seeing it negatively because it's probably more than any one game can offer before you start wearing it down to its bones (outside of timesinks like MMOs), or simply become too skilled to play with most people. Maybe a break is in order, look out for your health foremost. In my own experience, Rocket League can be an addicting game, and habit-forming, so make sure you're playing for fun and not just to satisfy a habit. It's a great game, but multiplayer games with no end can do that to you sometimes.

As for quitting, I play in spurts, binges... I'll play for the Christmas loot then uninstall to attend to other games until I feel the itch to play again (I uninstall it to keep it at bay as a habit). RL is a great side-game, main-game to devote yourself to I)m not as sure, as with any competitive multiplayer game.

For the record, greedy shop practices isn't enough to make me quit the game forever, because honestly I never even bought any item and only traded 1 thing. But I am grossed out by this move and understand why it's enough to push people to move on. We all have our reasons.
