The Math behind the Blueprints
EDIT: Since people state my math is faulty: YES, no ♥♥♥♥ Sherlock!

This post was meant to be an extreme example of how much you have to pay for items now ingame. I never stated to use this numbers as a hard prove. I´m fully aware of the fact that you can´t predict a RNG-system, but i also see that the new system might be worse than the old one. People might be more willing to spend 20 bucks on some fancy pixels on the screen.

I don´t say that you shouldn´t do this, it´s your money. But reconsider that this will show the devs that they can charge you insane amounts of money for literaly zero effort.
I prefer a stable DLC for 15 bucks than some shady cosmetics for 20.

______________________________________________________________________

So i quickly calculated how much it would cost to unlock all my 260 Blueprints (former 260 crates)

I got 147 rare, 65 very rare, 34 import, 12 exotic and 2 Black market blueprints. To unlock all these i would have to buy 94800 credits. This is would cost currently 676,65 € (749,63$) and would have i had 2700 credits left (best buy pack is the reference)... pretty pricy.

If would had open all these as they where crates, the keys for this would have cost me 234,52€ (259.87$) and had no keys left (20 Key-Pack is the reference)

So in conclusion all items are ruffly three times more expensive than before.

I can´t say much about the financial situation at Psyonix but i would recommend them to lower the prices. Even for someone like me who never bought keys but some DLC-Cars i cant see the reason why the prices has to be this high. The DLC-Cars where 2-5 bucks and now you have to pay 12 bucks for one??

It´s a bit sad to see these changes because i fear that trading will completly die out or will switch to third-party sides.

Please Psyonix fix this!

But how many keys would it take for you to get those same items? I think it works out relatively equally, but the prices are TOO high for individual items, now.

Well this is up to the RNG. i can´t say if the drop chances changed, but if they stayed the same i would have get ruffly the same item-tiers. maybe i would be off by 4000-8000 credits needed to unlock items

damn your math is just genius. taking your complete random set of items in comparsion to the unkown gamble mechanic before wich could have had a complete other outcome is just genius.

Dude this calculation just don´t work, because you got an item for every key you used, even if you didnt got what you wanted, you got something as compensation or trade.

And there was always a (small) chance that you get a BM or Exotic on first try.

yeah ♥♥♥♥ that " chance" everyone who plays the game from the begining knows that this "chance " was lowered with every new crate and update. and this " chance" is nothing else then a gambling mechanik to ♥♥♥♥ up your logical thinking. so glad it was removed

You are missing one cruicial point. The shop itself is very very random, your prefered item+color/certifaction combination are not likely to show up.
Otherwise you still need the blueprint to craft it.
And the chance to get the right blueprint are the exact same chance (maybe a slightly higher chance) to get it from the normal key+crate.
So either you would have to search for someone to trade that blueprint, if its an item many want you would probabaly have to trade credits or an equal valued blueprint for making it cost either credits+even more credist or just cradits + something else you might want in the future.

Now with keys you would not only have the same chance of getting the item, you would also have a near minimum or 2-3 random imports (trade up) and probably 1 random exotic from a 30 key sample of the same crate.
The same amount of moneys worth of credits would give you: Maybe the item you want if it comes up in the shop, same or more for a credit trade of the blueprint.

The absolut best scenarios would be that you 1) Get the exact blueprint by chance or 2) that you get a blueprint of equal value to trade for it.

Sadly the trade option is the most likely to happen, and it would still be more expensive on average than the previous trademaket where you could get most things besides the absolut most coveted items for a lower price than a regular colored car cost to craft now,

First of all, you are wrong. This is not math. You could've opened 260 BMs out of 260 and been praising Psyonix rn instead of bіtching about it.
Second of all, you are right. I think you got pretty bad luck with only 2 BMs and it still costs much more. And you could've just traded to get the desired itrems losing some time and value though (but not threefold).
This is a classic casino move by Psyonix. Blackjack generates much more profit for casinos than roulette does, even though there is a strategy to win at blackjack while roulette is random, a defininion of a scam, and you'll just lose there in a long run.

I neither praise nor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about Psyonix :P
i just wanted to show that the new system might be not better and maybe even more costly than the old one
