Why is wavedashing better then just flipping?
I recently learned to wavedash because people said it's the best way to gain speed without boost. Now I ask myself "why is wavedashing better then just flipping?". If somebody has the answer, please let me know in the comments. :lunar2019coolpig:

It's situationnal. You are not supposed to do it all the time ! I really do it when I jump down from a wall when I m low on boost.
Because when you wave dash from 0, you're forced to do a jump where : 1 you become vulnerable and an easy target to demo, 2 you can't react to a ball changing trajectory immediatly.

You can also use it in a one vs one to change really fast the behavior of the ball to trick the opponent..

Use it when you feel it well.. as everything.

It is mainly only good if you are low on or out of boost, but it provides a fast way to go supersonic and a bit of a boost forwards. Boosting is still better if you can, though.
its pretty much the same thing, wavedash is used in situations, flipping is used all the time, neither is better or faster

why boost when a few flips get you to max speed, its best to conserve boost and flip, imagine boosting back to goal to get a save, oops out of boost lol

You technically don't need boost to block a shot, there are ways to do it without boost or with little boost. Generally if you are heading back for a save you should have been grabbing pads or full boost. Ultimately in team play someone should have been rotating back anyway before the ball gets there.
1. When your jumping you are not in control of your car, whereas if you wavedash you are back on the ground and ready for the play.
2. If you have boost and you flip you will be boosting backwards for a portion of your flip, wavedash doesn't have this problem.

1. If doing it correctly you are flipping in the direction you are heading anyway

2. I don't think anyone but noobs do that. Also when landing from a flip you can wavedash and boost combo.
So, @bob, as you can see, it's like I said. It's just another skill you can use whenever you want. It's not better. It's something else.
