Also they required "real money" before with crates so why would u expect situation to be different now?
I know it is fun to complain but cmon.
Have a look a Warframe. It is completely free to play, has "loot boxes" (kinda) that are free and a player driven economy with premium currency that works. And still the decs keep pumping out new content on a regular basis. In RL, its the same map, only with a new skin now and then. But nothing "completely new", not even this Blueprint system (was copied from Fortnight).
I'm really not much of a trader, but it's really easy to make some credits here and there. Especially non-crate very rares never seem to get out of fashion.
Sure, you won't be swimming in credits unless you really grind, but I really don't need all that stuff anyway, really.
Because that's what players want. Actual new maps have been introduced, as have the extra modes and some special modes from time to time, but the player counts for those things dropped fast and that's why we can't have nice things, because the players apparently don't want them.
I'd love to have the mutator playlist back (with some randomization thrown in), but I doubt anyone would be playing it.
The only thing players can't seem to get enough of are shiny new customization options and the standard modes/maps.
