(Hope that's the correct one, my connection is too flaky to check it at the moment)
Stability is of course also important, butI don't want to get dragged into your fight about the difference being noticeable or not...
Even between 100 frames and 160 frames there's a difference.
Is it compulsory to be a better player no, but it certainly helps a bit.
Leaving out, out of the game settings like triple buffering or pre-rendered frames which lots of people don't even know if they have on or what they actually do, causing aditional latency.
Just a simple hardware example, there are monitors that output 144hz but only have hdmi or dual link dvi input, which can only carry 60hz and 120hz respectively when they are meant to work at a refresh rate that they have no input capability for, causing uneven visual experience if you actually have a machine that can output constant 144 fps.
There are so many things that should be taken into account, (not that the guy on the video didn't cover things well from the game standpoint) that just saying "raise the roof" solves everything and works for everything and everyone.
Btw Brawndo, I'm not dragging you into the discussion.
I'm actually done.
Also my GPU usage doesn't go over around 40-45% on max settings, I have it limited to the monitor refresh rate of 120, and at times it feels like the car is a brick on wheels.
The human eye can see far more than 23-30 FPS. Each eye is different so, and so is the amount of FPS a person can see. The false information that the eye can't see more than that started with animation, and later tv/movies. It's not the the eye can't see more than FPS that that, it's that you need at least around 23/4 fps to see it as a smooth motion/animation. It also depends on the lighting for how many FPS the eye can see. In some conditions it is in the hundreds of herts a second.
also, if you complain about heavy car bug, dont plan on playing wireless, because that will just increase input lag
Heavy Car Bug needs to be proven true by you, Proffessor.
1. You don't understand what a Placebo is. That feeling you get of it being more responsive? Thats the placebo! Thats the entire concept of the placebo, you thinking/feeling something is happening when its not. So saying "But i feel it!" doesn't mean ♥♥♥♥, cause thats the placebo.
2. You don't understand how computers run games. I'm not gonna go into detail about frame rates, frame pacing and responsivenes, thats been done here already.
