ESL scam method! BE CAREFUL!!!!
Somebody will add you and claim, that he is in the final of a tournament (150€ price money / he will split if you win) and ask you for help, because his mate can't play.

If you accept, he will send you a FAKE ESL website, that looks almost like the legit one, besides that the link is different.
He will ask you to create a private match and even a spectator (referee / witness) will join.

You are told to login on the ESL site with your steam account, that's where i got suspicious.
I googled and found the real ESL site, that DOESN'T require you to login with your steam name.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

frank: this is not new really, for those that want to send abuse reports, there has been like a similar thread posted mid-end october with same story, glad this got some attention to it tho.

He got as far as removing my phone/authenticator from my steam profile. But he lacked the intelligence to really pull it off.

Funny enough he is pretty good at the game but obviously fails as a human being.

You're being ignorant. In the heat of the moment its easy to fall for this, many of my friends have. If your FRIEND messages you asking for help, your barriers fall and you click links that your friends send u usually
