Low fps with Ryzen 1700x and Gtx 1660ti
My cpu usage is really low (10 - 13%) while my gpu is at 99% load consistently, all while I am getting an average of 40 frames on lowest settings. Also, my cpu is overclocked to 3.8ghz. Any help?

its ryzen, any unoptimized game to take advantage of ryzen is an issue and has been since its launch.especially with the first generation, it has to do with the cpu's infinity fabric which is a odd type of cpu architecture to any game not patched to use it correctly

Ryzen 5 2600 with the same GPU and I don't have any problems.

Ryzen 5 1600 3.8ghz, rx470 4gb, 16gb. 220-240fps (lock 120).
Maybe you have a miner or problems at the program level.
Also check what frequencies your GPU works at.

Maybe your CPU overclock isn't stable?

Windows 10 CPU scheduler has been sorted since Windows 10 version 1903. Was an OS/MS issue not game.
In fact, GTA V run faster on Linux for a while due to this.

Lol, I like that.

OP. Your CPU is working fine, if you look you will see 15% CPU usage across all threads.
What is odd is why your GPU is working at 99%? 60% for me on a 1060 in 2K.

Use DDU to uninstall all GPU drivers. Then install the latest nVidia drivers for your GPU.

Ignorance , its ryzen itself is why he is getting bad fps.If you say its not then look at AMD's own topics about it and how they were working on game optimization and countless other computer experts on this subject....and I know your ot a computer expert or you wouldnt have said that lmao

So seems you have no idea what you are talking about, cant take you are wrong and are now trolling.
Let the adults deal with this one.
You need to learn how to read. So your saying I dont know what Im talking about when AMD themselves stated they are working on updates to optimize game performance for there first gen ryzen because of low fps problems and micro stuttering............yeah okay, I will let you flood his mind with false lies, when its well documented by computer benchmarkers and AMD themselves stating these EXACT problems OP is having.Your just pissed that you dont know anything about how the cpu architecture works. You can sit here and tell me Im wrong but its been proven time and time again by people that know a hell of a lot more than you that these problems have been consistent with first gen.Its fact not some weird phenomenon like your making it out to be.

Thread has been blocked from any more updates cause one thing I cant stand are stupid people. So go ahead agrue with AMD's own CPU architects be my guest.Peace
Yeah you still have no clue lol.

Still waiting for these sources, you said "computer experts" said something? EDIT: and now documented, again source or not true ;)

Well, I have the same CPU minus the x, no issue.
CunkFeatures Nov 30, 2019 @ 1:11am
Yeah there is nothing wrong with this CPU, its pretty bad ass tbh.

Seems to be a GPU issue, or software.

For the sake of experiment, I reduced the frequency of my GPU (rx 470 OC) from 1350mhz to 300, and the frequency of video memory from 2000 to 1200. And I still got 100+ frames, the processor (r5 1600) was loaded by 3-5% (the most loaded core is 5-10%).
So I think the problem is only software/driver//virus.

Ahh I see, I will have to look into those areas then, thanks for the help!
