That's the whole point of a competitive game mode, the best player wins. There's no balance, you'll eventually fall to your skill level rank if you loose too much. If you want to rank up, just get better. Good for you, playing against "smurfs" is a great opportunity to do so

Thats why there is ranks in this game. I dont want play against diamond rank players when i am only bronze. And your "point" is pretty stupid.

What works in bronze doesn't work in the higher ranks so learning bronze play isn't very beneficial. If you just keep playing, your mechanics alone will get you out of bronze, and the smurfs will have you prepared for the higher ranks.

Yeah its really frustrating. They hit every aerials etc. But when I get my own rank players, I mostly win the match.

i disagree, ranks and matchmaking is there to play against players at roughly your own level.
If you want to rank up you have to get better.
You said that, what you learn in bronze isnt beneficial. Thats only true for higher ranks. If you play in bronze what you learn is totally fine there to win. But now that you start winning you will have to play against better players like silvers. Now you wont win with your bronze strategies. But thats fine because you can just adapt the silver strategies.
Its a learning process. If you have to play against high rank players you would skip a lot of the process and in my opinion thats a part of the game which makes fun. Slowly seeing your improvment.
And last its still ranked. If it would be ok to play against smurfer then we wouldnt need a ranked mode and could just say everyone has to play against every other player despite their skill group.

Ive got to agree with bot swag here. Having been playing since the day RL launched, seeing my own improvement over time has been one of the better aspects of this game. My first season i was absolute trash. Then i started picking up on the game slowly. I can still remember the excitement at making my first Aerial Goal, with the accolade ingame popping up. Take baby steps, and dont focus on the rank. If you are losing, save the replay for that match and watch your opponents play against you. What are they doing to best you? See if you were out of position, if you should have rotated earlier, maybe you should have tried jumping. Youre not going to reach Grand Champion overnight. The playerbase is just as expansive today as it was 4 years ago, with no signs of stopping anytime soon. Play to have fun, and you will get better overtime.

Actually, the way the system is right now....ie. Broken, because of boost groups, smurfers, derankers, while smurfs and derankers have been...mostly....eliminated, boost groups under the guise of 'we are friends playing together' sorry, but if you do something against the rules and you are there as your 'friend' is doing it, you are counted as part of it and the punishment should include you.

1: Booster and Boosted (as in group up with a over ranked player) should be given the MMR of a Grand Champion, but no rank and no matter how much they win or lose, they will not gain or lose any ranks or MMR for the rest of the season, if they keep doing it, it becomes perm-punishment

2: Set group MMR to highest in Group

3: Hard Reset of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, leave Diamond and the Champ ranks as soft reset.

4: Problem Solved.

here is the thing... EVERY new online pvp game gets bad after about a year. Players who play 24/7 only the said game will master it and start smurfing because they think its funny and they have nothing better to do, but they still want to play their fav game thus means new players to the game will have to face these players and your time of learning how to play the game is basically over, you are too late to have fun in the game now.
When I bought this game it was great, nobody had an idea how to fly and I probably played about 5 hours straight. Now even if I would play on some low level's account I would start to vomit after 5 matches because there would be a lot of premades boosting/smurfing.
Sadly thats how video games work these days. They get popular, they start their tournaments, get even more popular with the esport bs and then the devs forgot to fix issues, let the game rot for months while they pump microtransexuality into your ass, sell the whole company or something and then it dies eventually. I mean this ♥♥♥♥ will probably stay alive for at least 10 more years wohoo but damn those last years are going to be like playing with a moldy stuffed animal... if its not already like that.
