Game keeps minimizing

Game randomly keeps minimizing no clue why. Seems to be just Rocket League and a lot of the times seems to be when I have an unread chat. Any ideas?

First off I’d try disabling Windows Focus Assist. If that doesn’t work, and you’re ok with doing it, you can try running the game in a borderless window.

Many suggest that it's some scheduled task popping you out of the game.
I decided to check what task ran when I was pulled out of the game, one was NvTmMon (NVIDIA telemetry monitor) and other GoogleUpdateTaskMachine.

You can check which task it was by going to Task Scheduling and ordering by Last run after it has happened, they list them by the second.

Thanks for the replies. Tried looking at event viewer and there was nothing when it happened. Changed any scheduled task that checked at an interval time, didn't help. Focus assist was already off.

Just had to get off because it just happened like 4 times in one game, usually it only happens once or twice an hour.

Any other ideas?

I tried it for a few hours today and it did not happen but not being in fullscreen made the FPS ass. It still said I was getting around the same but there was a very big difference.

I wouldn't recommend keeping it there, but there's obviously something taking attention away from your game when it's in fullscreen.

I started playing again for the first time in about two months and quickly noticed this new issue as well where it'll minimize the game at a random point during a match. I haven't changed anything on my system since it last worked and even tried keeping most processes closed to avoid any issues, but it still happens regardless. It's actually very consistent too in that it only occurs once per game instance/launch usually within the first or second match, and then it runs perfectly without further minimizing.

I seem to have fixed this by either one of two things. Validating game files or doing a clean install on my graphics card drivers. After I did those two things, I stopped having the problems.
