How does one know if a very rare item is a crate or non crate very rare item?

Is it better to trade up with these items (5 at a time for next highest level), or is it better to sell them for 50 or 60 credits each?

its just all about luck, you wanna take a "risk" go trade up, wanna stable income from selling them go for selling them to other players lol. You can see if u will hover the item

If it's from a crate, it will tell you so on the right hand side.

That's up to you. You might get something good from trading up, but chances are pretty slim. Guess that's why there is a high demand for NCVR items, because the more you get, the more chances you have on getting something worthwhile.

Thank you for your quick answers. I checked, and I don't think any of my VR items are from a crate, but I'm not sure. If I just started in December, is it fair to say all of my VR items are non-crate? I have not seen any crates tmk. Just snowflakes and lanterns.

Any chance of a screenshot showing the difference between a VRNC item and a VR Crate item? Do Crate and non-crate VR items have the same 60 credit value, or is one better?

Go in "customize car" or "manage inventory", puts your cursor on the Very Rare item and check the windows, the ones from crates have "Collection" and a list of others items, while very rare item from online match doesn't have this list (there's some toppers including wings and a goldfish, boosts, paints and banners).

Or just go to your manage inventory and click on your very rares. If it says this item cannot be traded up, it is from crate.

If it opens trade up window u see all your non crate very rares at same time

Ok, I'm almost there. I think this is my last question. If it says item cannot be traded up, can it still be traded with other players?

Yes unless it has that yellow mark on top right corner to indicate that it is trade locked
