The problem is, if you unplug your controller and plug it back in, the speaker will be reactivated.
(At least for me, i'm trying to find a solution for this problem since months)
On Windows 10 a PS4 controller connected via USB should be plug-and-play, third-party programs such as DS4 and SCP actually create more issues if anything. Ensure the PS4 Configuration Support setting is ticked in the Steam Big Picture Mode "Controller" options menu.
After you do that, every steam game that supports controllers, should recognize your controller and use it as an input device.
Since my steam runs in german, i'm not sure if all the settings have the same name in english, but i think, you should be able to find it.
Is it a Nacon controller?
Go into steam big picture and do controller settings -EZ _
Or get xbox360ce - you need to use it as an xbox controller mapping - same mappings -just different pictures.
EZ.
DS4 didn't work with mine - but the other all works.
He is right.
The controller does have a speaker that gets recognized as an audio-device by microsoft!
