Connection issues even though my Internet is perfectly fine.
I've been unable to play the game normally for the past few months because of these issues. I constantly teleport around the arena. I have no issues like this with other games on my PC. My Internet is running smoothly, but whenever I try to play this game it just lags everywhere.

Do you play on wifi? Are you sure you don't have packet loss?

Yes, I am playing on WiFi. It is probably packet loss, but I don't have that issue in other games which is why I don't understand.

Are you getting any connection quality warnings in-game? There are separate icons for high latency, latency variation, packet loss, server health, and a lost connection.

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimized and the netcode is trash. That's why you can perfectly fine play other games with wifi and in this one you get "packet loss".

Is there any way to help that?

Like you can do any better. That's why other games aren't packet sensitive.

To OP, stop playing on WiFi. If not, then your internet is expecting problems or ISP is acting up.

it actually has more than shooters, it has double the physics tick-rate.

none the less the last patch has improved network issues. i play via lan, have zero issues in any other games, have a very good internet connection - guess whos laggin af? Those problems consist for years now, but unless they appear in public, like the 1st esports season, they get denied by psyonixx
ZENON Oct 9, 2018 @ 7:51am
It's probably your wireless network. My connection improved since I switched to LAN cable.

Switching to 5G can help as well, if you have that option. Less interference from other networks.

I've been having this same problem my internet is awlays arolund 30-40 ping but in rocket league it likes to go ♥♥♥♥♥♥ all the time. while this is happening my discord is still good ping and nothing else is bad

Thats a Rocket League issue, i opened a tread with the same issue

RL is Flodding your Router, from time to time, i dont know why but i will run some BNetwork monitoring tools and try to findout, what RL is messing up

Easy way to find out it your own
When you do have that Issues
Press the Windows button and enter CMD then press enter
Then type in
ping www.google.com -t and hit enter
then you see the latency to google
iff you do have 150ms + then something is pretty messed up
then close Rocket League
if the ms go down to around 5 - 50md then you know RL is flodding your internet conn and killing it

Never use Wifi. Look on Amazon for a pair of "powerline adaptors".
I can play FPS games with no issues.

Yeah the indicators are there.
All of them? Which ones are you getting, specifically?
