So its jump button? Not boost?
Jump.. boost.. tilt down and jump again?
flip is just the movement of your car alone, flicking is the same thing but with the ball involved on the top of the car.
when he says down, it’s having the nose of the car going down, so you need to be pressing forwards.
the boosting seems to me like it’s to make the ball go faster to back of the car and give it a bit of more extra momentum before sending it flying.
he explains well the technique and physics, and he’s a beast of a player that if i’m not mistaken was on the last rlcs or will be on the next one. you should watch his other tutorials for more basic stuff first and repeat them until it’s second nature (which will take dozens and hundreds of hours).
mastering ball control, dribbling and flicking is about the second most difficult thing you can do mechanically in the game asides of air control so don’t expect to nail it straight away.
Thats pretty good explanation, I guess I understand now what to press. Next thing is starting practicing :) brb in few months
you will need to feel the pressure of another player trying to steal the ball from you and adapt to it. mix between training alone and playing online matches or else you’ll get burnt out of practicing and will have a limited set of skills.
also another important thing is that unless you intend playing 1v1 only, this is a team oriented game.
so having perfect mechanics of challenging will only get you so far, reading the play that is happening, setting up the ball for you teammates or being ready to receive them is also a must.
this is also important even if you play 1v1 as you’ll be constantly reading the other player, adapting and taking advantage of their plays.
i would say have fun with practice but it’s not going to be fun at all. although it will be rewarding and in the end make the game much more fun.
see you around.
