RLCS Fan Rewards Not Dropping / Twitch Display Bug
This bug might be related to why alot of you may not have been getting the RLCS drops. This bug involves the display in the top right corner of the stream that displays your name and what stream you're currently viewing. If it says "online" under your name, you need to reload the page till it starts displaying "watching RocketLeague stream". If it just says "online", you may not be getting rewards since the Fan Rewards site views your current activities on your Twitch account.

I'm still working to confirm this bug, but my doubts are starting to fade and it's becoming apparent that there might be another issue with Twitch.

Lastly, this isn't a bug reprot, it's a heads up to all the people viewing the RLRS and RLCS streams.

I had it be online instead of "watching rocket league stream" and got grey ninja wheels last RLCS. I did not know that it could say "watching (streamer name) stream" as I only used it for the drops.
EDIT: Also, its random chance if you get an item or not.

Yeah...I reloaded the page and saw that the activity display under the profile name was acting strange....could be an issue, maybe not, still looking into it....

I've gotten several. Even given away more than a few. Your twitch account is linked to the rewards website right?

I've watched 2 times RLCS from the start to the finsih and i get only one reward. And when i saw some viewers who said they got 5 or 6 rewards in 5 min, i'm a little bit disappointed :/ (My account is linked, i checked 5 times)

They're probably trolling. The most I had was 2 items within 30 minutes and that's already insanely lucky. 5 items in 5 minutes is so unlikely it's basically impossible.

I usually get one or two rewards if I watch a full stream, sometimes none. One reward after watching twice is not much but it's not extremely bad either.

I got reward about 10 minutes ago. Got the RL player banner and it was the one I liked least of the two. Does everyone get the same thing or is it a total crapshoot. If it is then I'm unlucky because that banner was at the bottom of my list on what i wanted in a item drop

I don't think so, i think as long as you are listed in the viewer list you are fine. I never have anything written there, it always says online or afk, sometimes it even switch to invisible but i still receive rewards. For me by default it was disabled to share what i am viewing, it would mean everyone who has it disabled wouldn't receive rewards.

Some people watch more than one stream, i do too sometimes and even if enabled then it would maybe show the other stream as status instead of rocket league stream. Wouldn't make sense if it checks the status instead of the viewer list.

Ive watched many and got nothing and ive also gotten 3 drops in 1 steam so its completely random, though as someone said earlier 5 drops in 5 min is a complete troll.

Old thread, old superstition. It was never true, but I can see why it caught on.

Psyonix is not worried about this, so don't expect it to change unless their viewing figures fall through the floor. I tried asking them, and they don't intend to change it back.

Seems like a weird decision to me, to use a new range as promotion for RLCSX but also to reintroduce a lot of old items and lower the drop rate so far that many viewers will never see a single one of those new items. As anyone knows, the Twitch chat is just endless carping about the lack of drops. But as long as people keep watching, the system works from their point of view.

1. Yes old
2. Why comment on it if it's so old?
3, This wasn't superstition. It was confirmed but fixed along time ago. Stuff like this is expected to occur especially when a company like Psyonix WAS fairly new at using these kinds of features and was definitely unacquainted with a system like that.

It can happen. Make sure everything is set up properly and just keep watching.

From my experience, a few things that can cause drop issues:
If you are using a network ad blocker.
If you linked your console account to an epic games account, you need to update your fan rewards to be linked to your epic games account.
