Rocket League will move to the Epic Store in the future
In the long-term, we expect to bring Rocket League to the Epic Games store and to leverage our new relationship to grow the game in ways we couldn’t do on our own before. We believe that bringing Rocket League to new audiences with more support is a win for everybody.


(Note i wonder if it will be taken off the steam store then)

I'm pretty sure they will not pull the game from Steam, but only to buy it here. People who have it before being an Epic exclusive will still play it on Steam and receive updates.

It's the same case like other games who moved from Steam to Epic. People who bought it before release have it on Steam.

All that means that if you haven't the game already, you will only buy it on Epic Store. But if you have it, you can still play it. They didn't going to remove anything or shut down Steam servers.

If you bought the game on steam you'll stil play on steam, just that new players can't buy it there after that date.

Sadly, if anyone here is mad about this and plays fortnite you're to blame for this happening because that's where all this money is coming from.

Are you 100% sure we'll need to switch the launcher and user EGS one and the game will be deleted from Steam? Why would you need to show displeasure about smth that maybe not gonna happen in a first place?

The game is more than updates and I care about others, who would like to buy the game from Steam and won't be able to do that in the future. I care about the PC gaming as a whole as well. The Epic cancer is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up everything about the PC gaming as a platform. EA is like a choir boy compared to the anticonsumer business practices Epic is doing.

Please stop whining because 'Epic Games' is competition to your favorite platform. You are not affected.

Do not worry, everyone who purchased the game can play. Just think, a lot of money has been spent by the players, thousands of hours of play, they cannot pick up the game from the library, it will destroy them.

Yes, the famous E-sport scene, the one which is one of the most popular, the one WE finance through the crate keys and recently the in game esport item shop, they DARE mention that in their article to try to coax peoples about their decision, it's so dishonest, I read this sh*t as if our support as fans and players was not enough and not worthy and the epic paycheck is a thousand times better, how can someone be greedy to this point is beyond me.

I don't care that they sign with epic, as I already own the game but to tell pure lies like that instead of being just honest and say that they just wanted the fornite money makes me angry, it's been years that players support Rocket league AND the esport scene with DLC, Keys, Rocket PASS and such and they dare to mention that as one of the reason they sign with epic, it's a spit in the mouths of fans, a dishonest practice, SHAME ON YOU.

I am sorry. You are using 'cancerous' as a reason why a store is supposedly bad.

Maybe thats why I dont take you serious.

Maybe you are just affraid Epic Games will grow to be a good competition to steam, and actually force valve to do stuff.
