번역 관련 문제 보고
Most of the time we get a 'performance issues' warning icon (the speedometer thing) instead of connection (the triangle with a plug). So I though it was sth to do with the laptop settings. Anyway the modem/router is on a different floor, so I won't be able to plug myself in with a cable.
I don't know how many FPS we've got exactly, but it doesn't feel smooth, so I guess it's not 60. Even when it's not lagging (no warning icons, no ping spike, no freeze/teleports) it feels somewhat off. Compared to that amazingly smooth game we had. And if Vsync is one of settings in game, then it's surely off.
Your specs are more than adequate so there's clearly a configuration issue. Here are a couple of suggestions:
Enable Steam's in-game FPS counter (Settings > In-game)
If you are playing with V-Sync on, ensure it is permanently locked to 60fps (rather than 30). If you play with V-Sync off, ensure it is always over 60fps.
Ensure Rocket League is actually using your GTX 970M
There is a possibility the game is using your Intel GPU. Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Rocket League.
Look for an option called 'Preferred Graphics Processor' and change it from 'Auto' to Nvidia High Performance. Play a local 'offline' match just to make sure your frame rates are solid.
You shoud go step by step and sort things out that are possible problems. Get an FPS counter either use the one from steam as mentioned or download programms like Fraps wich you surley find trought google.
Check the energieoptions on your laptop. If you can't find it, google it.
You can also download HWinfo64, it shows you tonns of information about your PC/Laptop. Run the sensors while playing, also open the taskmanager and check the load on cpu and gpu while playing, then switch to desktop and look at the graphs. If the CPU and GPU are never at full load it's not a performance problem. If CPU is at full load and GPU not then you need to change the settings mentioned so you actualy use the GPU. If both run on 100% you shoud check the CPU and GPU core temps in HWinfo 64. It shows current/minimum/maximum/avarage temperature, load or whatever you are looking at. If your Laptop runs hot it start throteling the cpu and or the gpu wich means you don't have the full potential of your laptop wich coud result in lags aswell. Guess you gotta google a bit and find the solution by yourself. Nobody can tell you right away what it is.
Edit: trial and error... Good Luck!
