I believe the majority of players had to get used to ball cam on or off at some point.
I know that after a certain time I had to force myself for hours and through different camera settings to get used to ball cam off for certain ball touches. Trust me, if you push yourself enough, you’ll get the there.

One day I was playing with a buddy of mine, and after a few really good games, he kinda laughed and asked how the ♥♥♥♥ I make the shots that I do. (We were just starting to see aerials as common place and I was catching on fast.) I told him that first of all, practice helps a lot. But a huge part of it was setting the camera the way that works best for you. He copied my settings, did a lot better, then tinkered with them and improved still.
Personally I like a far, low angle, so I can almost look down the top of my car for lining up shots and so I can see as MUCH as possible.
