Need help with input lag and fps
I have a 144hz monitor and get 250 fps consistently but I get micro stutters every 3-4 hours and i have to restart my pc to fix it. It also feels like I get less input lag when i cap the fps to 144.
When i get stutters everything seems normal in regards to cpu and gpu
Any help is appreciated!

1) Enable enhanced V-sync in AMD settings.
2) put 145 fps max in game, putting more is useless on a 144Hz monitor imo

more frames will cause less input lag, even if it cant be displayed. try it out yourself, i play with completely unlocked frames on a 144hz, average frames of 300 - 400 and the game feels super responsive, if i were to lock it to 144 i would feel a difference input wise.

back to topic, sounds like you got too much stuff running in the background which over time cause your pc to need more and more power. if you have dual screens, leave task manager open and gpu managing software to check what your hardware is doing while you play and when the stutters happen

I use a program like RTSS and cap my frame rates to 2-4 FPS below my monitors refresh rate. This makes it so you have stable frame times. Unstable frame times is what can cause the micro-stutter you feel.

Also, if you're using dual monitors. Try to avoid having animated things like videos and music players on them. I assume you have Windows 10. You can get stuttering from animated things on other monitors because of how bad Microsoft is at doing dual monitors.

Here is an example of capping to the exact monitors refresh rate

and here is when using RTSS to cap it 2-4 below it.

All those dips and peaks in the graph can be felt as micro-stutter. When the peaks are that small it's barely noticeable though. Giant spikes is usually when it becomes noticeable.
