i'm plat 3 in 2 and 3s, but in duel... heck i cant even win in plat 1....
it's normal, no people to back u up in case you f*ck-ed up, no team rotation and relying on ur pure timing and your pure skill, no coordinations too.

For 1v1 however, you are alone and have to adapt to how your opponent is playing so you can gain control over the ball, you will have to be equally good at protecting your own goal and at scoring quickly or efficiently on the opposing team's goal. And there is a bigger risk in this mode as when you run out of boost you are vulnerable for the other player to score on your goal and you won't be able to catch up to the ball, whereas in teams this would not necessarily be an issue.
Each mode has a different amount of players, thereby making them play out differently, and therefore they have separate rankings.
