Bot chest farming: its getting ridiculous

There is something happening in the game. In half of my games I play with bots going in only one direction and doing nothing else. I really hope the dev will do something about it, because this is getting ridiculous that I leave half of my matches because of these people. I know it affect only the new players like me, but please do something, or in the report system give us the option to report them.

Or even better, make it so you have to ready up when before the next match starts. If you don't, you get taken out of match making. At least it will make it slightly more difficult to AFK all day.

Here is a nice screenshot of a match where me and my friend where playing with 4 bots...the other 2 where driving in straight lines so it was hard to put them all together in the goal...

Maybe a specific 'Crate Farming' report option would be useful, though if Psyonix actually paid attention to those, people would probably start using it to report everything else too.

Not needed, report for Unsportsman is enough. And these people aren't Bots, they're merely holding down their accelerators.

This is definitely a problem, even moreso now. Due to the high frequency of AFKers who essentially just avoid getting kicked by driving forward, there should be a specific report player option to report these types of players. For the time being I've been using Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

They should get rid of the entire loot box system, or at least require some work from the player to earn them. It could be as simple as requiring the player to get a goal/assist/save. If you didn't get at least one of those, you don't deserve a reward anyways. And if you've got an elastic band holding down the accelerator, you're not very likely to get any of those.

I just played 2 games:

1) In the first game, we had a bot farmer who DID NOT MOVE at all, the entire game. We lost by one goal playing 2v3.

2) In the second game, I was on a team with TWO CRATE FARMERS. Two of them. Seriously, WTF?

I've had crate farmers in 4 of 8 games tonight and I'm getting really, really sick of this.

I really don't understand how Psyionix can allow this to happen, and then not even communicate with players about it.

The game is pretty much unplayable now. I got crate farmers on my team or the other team in more than half the games I played last night. Even worse, there were quite a few with "Rocketeer" titles who were crate farming in noob matches. How is it possible that they can queue with us, much less be able to farm with impunity for hours?

They do get kicked if they are idle, the problem is kids are putting rubber band's on their controllers to drive in straight lines and going off to school to come back to all the loot.

All we can do is continue to post our disgust on the forums here, even more so on reddit where the Dev's seem to congregate more.
