Not real football/soccer.
Fantasy physics to make it fun. That said, the game is a blast. If you enjoy sports/esports...yes, you'll like this.

I think so. FIFA is more "snappy" out of necessity, because you need to control a whole team one by one. Rocket League offers more freedom, and you're just responsible for yourself. It takes a little while to learn, but that's a good thing -- hundreds of hours later, you'll still be improving your game.
