How to play with an Xbox One Controller?

Hi guys, I saw when i started up the game it said "better with controller". I have an Xbox 1 controller but idk how to set it up. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ps. I tried some things that I found on google but didn't work :l

It should be plug and play. What os are you using? And is it a Generic xbox controller? May need to install 360ce but Even the generic xbox controllers should work.

connect a usb micro from your controller to your pc.

Works on Windows 10. not sure about other OS's

If its a Xbox one S controller you can use bluetooth. If its the older Xbox one controller your options are buying the PC adapter to connect wirelessy or USB

..and i'm pretty sure bluetooth doesn't work with win 7. i had to download the driver (xbox one s controller).

I don't know about Bluetooth but I use the wireless adaptor on windows 7. This is how I've always played RL. I can't imagine the bluetooth not working, I've also played with a PS4 controller wireless.
