Smurfing: this is getting out of hands

Every second or third match i get a "Master-Level" Smurf against me. Mostly Champions or higher with only few hours. This is really getting out of hands. I want to achieve champion but i get so many champion smurfs (i play in diamond).

They really should permaban all smurf accounts.

You guys are not giving a definition of smurfs in any way, youre just looking for ways out to see alot of players at not smurfing, when they clearly and simply are smurfing. Every account besides your main account is a smurf. It is not desinged to have multiple accounts, since you're likely to sell them and so on...

It says logging into a secret account seperate from your main account. Wich is likely to be secret because almost all of the players choose different names. Also after reading your link I feel more to be right.

you all forget one thing. if a grand champions starts a new account and he wins all 10 games he maybe lands in high platin or low diamond. and if he is there and hes playing him at top again, he is smurfing through a lower elo which he dosnt belong too. that is smurfing. playing with a second account under your current skillelo. and i really hope they ban those players.

Win streaks can easily push him into his original ranking after a couple more wins, if he doesn't play badly on purpose to stay low and simply continues to win to get to his original rank, it's not smurfing.

For those saying smurfs aren't a thing... yes, yes they are, for the last month of last season and this season as well they've been steadily increasing in number, and you can quickly point one out when they're "pro" level, with a completely new account, with only rocket league, and they can consistantly air dribble, aerial in general and hit all back board shots by spinning on their axis. Basically playing like a person with 2k hours that should be GC.

Basically the same as cs:go at this point, it's very easy to spot them.

Also i'm diamond 3, nearly GC, and I still notice them...

The reason for last season smurfs was to more easily unlock the season rewards, since winning 12x in lower ranks for every level is easier than winning 48x in your top rank.
Haven't met a smurf in this season, since a lot of people are still unranked...

Every 2nd account that is not your main acount is your smurf BY DEFINITION! I dont understand why ppl dont get that and still try to argue like you.

an the main purpose of a smurf from the urban dictionary definition is "Generally the purpose of smurfing is to improve oneself without compromising the statistics of a main account. It allows gamers to try new strategies, or simply play without worrying about a "record"." when other people seem to think the main purpose is "wreck newbs cuz ur better than them but are playing at a lower skill skill rating"

You can't really go by their XP rank, since as others have stated, they could have come from Console to PC and still use a Controller.

You can't really complain about boosters and smurfs right now, well not smurfs anyway, i have seen some booster groups going around.....i saw a Diamond and a Silver playing together, friends or not, i still consider that boosting and it should be punishable by some other means than no season rewards.

I'm a Master, sometimes I'm paired with masters. Sometimes I get paired with pros/rookies... Not sure what's up with that. I try not to 'destroy' if that happens though. Usually just sit back and work on my goalie skills.

Meh, I don't play competitive. I just hear the kids crying and whining about getting beat by better players. Isn't that what competition is all about?
