But the money was in my steam wallet for 2 months now?
But if you're referring to actual trades between players with one side offering Steam money in exchange for keys, then that's a bannable offense as it is real-money trading, against both the RL Code of Conduct and Steam's ToS.
No I literally mean I have steam wallet money that's sitting on my profile for 2 months- why would I wait 7 days for something that's already checked out by steam? I understand buying in other ways cause issues and 7 days is necessary but not for this wtf?
I hate this feature, but it is what it is. The only disadvantage of this feature is item prices. Items are losing their worth until the cooldown expires.
This "somebody" can still get into your account after the 7 day limit expires. The thing is, even if he gets into your account and uses your money, you won't get any refund from Psyonix. In-game purchases are not refundable as far as i know. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The only important reason is CC chargebacks. Otherwise, the 7 day cooldown should be removed like other tradeholds, if you use mobile authenticator.
This seems to be why people buy keys for real money from other people and boom, they can trade. This must change somehow.
But it won't :P
I've learned to live with it, even if it sucks.
