Freestylers in casual, please grow up
So I was playing unranked with a friend of mine yesterday, whose rank is singnificantly lower than mine (I'm Plat II/III, he's Gold II/III). We ended up playing against wannabe freestylers, whom we ended up crushing 6-2. But that's not the problem.
As soon as we took the lead, they started calling us "pathetic kids" for "tryharding". Now, I'm not really affected by this behaviour, since it's more and more common at all levels in unranked. But it's not the first time this happened this week.
I get why people want to imitate people who actually have skill, and I can appreciate a nice goal scored by my opponents. But there's a difference between people who try to score beautiful goals to show their 4 subscribers on YouTube and don't care about the score and people who do 100% freestyle and expect others to do the same.
Oh and, of course, as soon as the match was over, they went full tilt. "You suck", "1v1 me bro", "You'll never score a goal like this in 10 years". We didn't take the bait, didn't reply, and they got even more mad. Made me laugh.

So, if you want to freestyle yeah, that's perfectly fine and, if you manage to score screamers, I'll be happy for you. But if you get salty because your opponents try to play seriously in casual for any reason (new teammate, warm-up, whatever), either accept the fact that you might lose or just leave and find another game. Because, by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and complaining about "tryharders", you ruin the game for everyone.

There's a reason I don't like playing with freestylers. You cannot really win. Sure, you can win the game, but you'll often be insulted/teased/belittled for playing seriously and, if you lose, God the humiliation. So yeah. Grow up.

Not really, I was just laughing my ass off with my friend. It's just that this kind of behaviour is even more irritating than the ones who say "ez" after winning 2-1.

Freestylers in casual are usually cancer. So many times did I easily save an attempt, often followed by a counter goal. That's when they start throwing insults at you. What am I supposed to do? Just let the ball go in so they can feel better about themselves? Not to mention, that's when many of them will throw insults at you as well.

Best feeling in the world when they give up at some point and start playing seriously, but still lose and get all salty.

Exactly. My problem is, they want to look good so you have to bend over and take it deep. It's the same as CoD kids asking you to stay in one spot so they can try to 360° no scope you for the 63rd time and then insult you, your family and your cow for killing them.

Just let them be, if they freestyle and you want a real match, either queue ranked or try another unranked. I could make a roast on “Tryhard” people in unranked like you did on freestylers, showing that from their point of view they probably don’t like your behavior either. With the ‘grow up’ comment you act like these freestylers do stuff that’s utterly childish that ONLY freestyle players do, which I’m sure is not the case.

I have been free styling as well some time ago and I also met “Tryhard” people in unranked just going crazy of winning with “eZ” “lmao nice try” and a ton of insults. You should say grow up to that whole part of the community, not just the freestylers.

Thing is, I'm not criticizing freestylers for freestyling. If I get my ass handed to me, so be it, GG.
I'm criticizing their behaviour during the game. The insults, the teasing and all the rest, just because we were actually trying to win the game. Despite all that, I was the one saying "Nice shot!" when one of them scored a decent goal.

My point is, not all freestylers are salty mofos. Some of them like playing against teams who actually try to do something to block their shots. But a lot of them act like entitled brats, who consider "Unranked" to be their own private training ground, with other players being pawns to set them up or make them look good.

Now I don't reply to verbal attacks or idk in-game. But if you act like an entitled child, I will do everything I can to block every single one of your shots, bump you when you try to go up the wall, and I WILL try to score the slowest, most humiliating counter-attack possible and make you watch the WHOLE replay.

It makes them go nuts.

Again, this topic should be aimed to more people than freestylers as they aren’t the only ones showing this behavior you dislike.

It’s the behavior that you find annoying, not the free styling right? As you said “but if you act like an entitled child” — which not only freestylers do, a lot of people (even “tryhards”)

But most people won't insult you for blocking a shot or scoring a goal. Sure, it happens, but it'w way more rare.

Idk, ive had my fair share of people talking crap just because they think they are the ♥♥♥♥. i recently have been going against daimond 2 and 3s on casual and dont get me wrong they arent bad but they arnt the best in the game either. so when we destroy them 9-1 (btw they are paired up more than half the time) i wasnt even trying in that game..

Anyways they make a comment saying "your sweating so much its getting on my windshield" in my mind i think "do you really think your that good?" so i reply with "nah, you just suck" then they get more berserk about how ive got "no skill and im all talk" and tell the random that i was with "it was a good game".

My point is dont talk ♥♥♥♥ to a team that destroys you multiple times by like 8 points, personal skill doesnt make too much of a difference if your team chem isnt that good. any GC can lose to normal champs with bad team chem.

now in your case if they want to practice then they need to play private matches or try and expect to get their ass handed to them. everyone that got good at freestyle was there before.

It's casual, friend. Casual matchmaking isn't meant to be taken seriously.

You can train so many shots in training, but you won't ever see such a perfect set-up in a real match. It feels way better to hit a nutty shot in online where there are opponents to defend against your shot, meaning the shot was also good/well-placed - then scoring on an open net with 100 boost. People acting like they have a ton of skill, laughing at lower skilled people happens everywhere (smurfing).

I've had more people insulting me after a match that I was freestyling on than the other way around (freestylers insulting me as a 'tryhard' in unranked, they usually leave').

People usually THINK that freestylers think they are really skilled at the game by hitting 1/1000 ceiling shots in an online game.
1. Good, let them think that and play for what you think shows your true skill ingame or just have fun.
2. Them hitting one nutty shot doesn't mean they are skilled, hitting them more consistent would be more valuable in my opinion.

To get a little bit into their perspective, you 'tryharding' are ruining their game of nice opportunities -- while you think they ruin your game by complaining about this. You are both disliking the other side so just leave and be the grown-up person not the insult the other one's mother.
lolschrauber Nov 14, 2017 @ 6:40am
You get called tryhard for playing normally because they're crying if you don't give them free fancy goals they can use in their stupid montage. That's just ridiculous. No need to discuss who needs to grow up here.

i edited that comment. but anyways i also said goto private match that in itself can have nothing to do with hitting that perfect shot. you can always train and make your self better on a private match by 1's,2s and 3s.. hell maybe even 4s. but when you complain to someone and dont know their rank and ♥♥♥♥♥ at them because they are better or in your opinion "tryharding/ smurfing" then you ruin the whole point of having a "good time" again find another game, dont ♥♥♥♥♥ at me just because the game put me in the same match as you when you think im sweating when in reality we are in a whole different league in skill and team chem. (everyone has their off days too)

see, on this game i can be put against a pro. even though my skills can not be pro level the game will find the fastest/ best match for you in terms of skill and who is on at the time. doesnt mean anyone is a smurf persay.

You whined in public.
Things in the game irritate you.
