I don't see them in-game...
This is a computer game. Things break now and then.
If you have difficulty with the concept of a computer making mistakes (and lots of people do), keep this in mind: all the code was written by PEOPLE.
Are you guys serious?
I'm not talking about bloody points from saves, goals, etc.
MMR is the point system that, when you win or lose a ranked match, these points go up/down
The only way to see the points is to either hit Grand Champion, and you will see the points, or to use a third party website that can access your points.
So just to make sure everyone... did you guys even read the rest of the post? There's no way i could be talking about the points from goals and such, read the entire post before replying.
And General, don't act as if you are certain what my problem is, when you are obviously ignorant in the matter.
What I said last time. The database fails to update on time, or the packet delivering the correct number to your MMR-reader-thingy fails to arrive.
Aside from your apparent anti-social tendencies, I have absolutely no idea what your problem is.
The central rankings database could be running slow. Or it's prime time and the server is getting overloaded with update requests. Or your local ISP is dropping packets and not getting the current data to your MMR-reader-thingy. Or the system could have actually glitched right after the match and lost your rank update entirely.
There's lots of different things that could cause what you're seeing. So, yeah. I know more about this kind of thing than most people. You should listen to me first.
I believe i stated in my post that after that game i had lost 11 points, which pretty much guarentees that the points system was running reletively normally. Also, I replied to you comment a couple hours ago, and made this thread yesterday, from that we can assume that it's been at least 8 hours since, then, and that I have checked, otherwise i would have said it's fixed.
Cheers.
And obviously, not everyone knew what i was talking about. at least 2 people were confused as to what i was talking about. "Shut it"
Bottom line, your only view of "the points" comes from a computer program viewing a database somewhere else on the Internet. You're only seeing a symptom, that can have many different causes. You have no idea what the problem is. Which is obvious from the fact that you asked:
Here's a tip: when YOU ask SOMEBODY ELSE what's wrong, you need to shut it and listen to everybody else's theories, because you don't have one of your own.
(and yes, this problem could go unfixed for weeks or months. personally i hope it does, and that you keep getting out-of-date ranking info for the next year)
My view is not only derived from a 3rd party website, but also the fact that my teammate did not demote but i dived down. Hence why i am sure that i did NOT gain the points from that game, and he did.
In anycase, thanks for your help and theories. If I'm good at RL, losing 11 points shouldn't mean much anyway.
Cheers!
