help with in-game chat

Of course, playing on Steam. I cannot figure out how to pull up chat box during a game... I was forced to switch to Steam from XboxONE because I have over 800 friends on there and supposedly we have to delete our friends list to under 300 friends in order for the xbox RL version not to crash.

It sucks because 1) I am a Rocketeer on that account 2) And more importantly I have $1000's of dollars worth of content throughout the years just sitting in an unplayable game. I would like a refund but I dont see Xbox support giving me that money back and I would actually have to sue Psyonix to get that money back.. Luckily my whole family are attorneys but I love RL... just hate how they "secretly" have been forcing people to switch to PC to play RL... its a silent movement theyve kept underwraps. It only affects the people with over 300 friends which technically would be the better players. So they know those players will switch to steam because we arent the new consumer who just bought a xbox, gaining new friends, etc.. its a gimic and a scam with XboxOne with no tech support or anything. just silence. I dont have time to mass delete 500+ friends on Xbox there is no way to batch delete so I would have to do one by one.

Anyways, thanks for the read if you have read this far and please let me know about the in-game chat (what do i press to make it pop up to type in the chat bar) and if anyone has heard anything about this Xbox "conspiracy" lol then let me know too...

Tbh, I play better on the PC anyways.. went from my peak on xbox being mostly gold occasionally platinum to on my Steam/PC im all platinum and occasional diamond... and I can air dribble easier too... Maybe Xbox power isnt up to par for RL max performance but I am def better playing on Steam. thats the only positive thats came out of this lol

Oh, and nub...T and Y are for chat. If you were a "better player" as you incinuate, you'd know all those keys are mapped in the Options menu.

what a bunch of A-holes here. Its Psyonix fault. Why does every other game work on Xbox then. Just Rocket League. I wasnt being literally serious about suing. It wouldnt be worth the court fees. So thanks for the input Jackazzes. sry been playing on xbox for over a year and didnt know PC settings. Thanks for being so welcoming. nah not at all. pretty straight up. you assume things. My whole thing wasnt saying I was better than most. I was saying ive had the same account on xbox live since 2007. so i have acquried a lot of friends over that time. Rocket League is the ONLY game with this problem and last time I checked Microsoft isnt the developer of this game. Psyonix has known of this problem since the update and have yet to release a patch or even update on the progress. Support tickets go unanswered. Think it was convienent of Steam to be selling Rocket League for half off during this time as well? Props to steam for taking advantage. But psyonix can kiss my azz. I found the theory of forcing players off XB1 to steam or ps3 on reddit's rocket league page. the only thing I get why you may think i am a douche is if you really thought i was saying i was some grandiose player. Im just better than a person that has just started to play for a few months but once i get to diamond I get my ass whooped. Ill admit that. I get knocked down to gold level 2 the other day in solo comp so im not one to brag even if I was good.

I guess a better term I could have used was "seasoned" instead of experienced or whatever i said. Thats the only thing I can understand why you are getting into troll mode, if you want me to be brute. Instead of being a helpful member of the community and simply answering what the users question asked you decide to attempt to belittle someone. I am not lying about 1000's of dollars worth of keys i have bought over a year and a half... I know others with the same amount. Not that crazy for people to spend that much on games. I spent over 2500 on those stupid COD crates and i dont even play that game anymore. People have money. And before you go try to say something smart again, just because I am saying I have money does not mean im rich. I have about 12 credit cards in debt with all of them and 28 yrs old with a 40 yr olds credit debt. If you must know I trade stocks too...I dont have to go work for someone else or some other place. I make at least $500 a day and thats not even alot... i trade in this group where people take profits in the 1000's and hold 100k's of shares.

But hey Im not mad at you. I just wanted to let you know my response to your accusation of playing a victim. But when all is said and done, if you want to learn how to trade in the stock market and provide yourself with a nice cushion of side money then send me a message and I will give you a link to the group I am in and we will help you with whatever questions you have. we have beginner traders come and start with us all the time. I dont have any hard feelings towards any of this. more importantly, i just trolled you by wasting a few good miunutes of your time by reading this long ass post. It is all meaningless lol...... lets play together or against each other on rocket league one day and let our cars do the talking haha
